Considering the fact that we don’t have any reliable outside shooting, Archie is coaching a good game. Don’t like some of the lineups but He’s called some really great sets out of timeouts.

His coach at the time, Shabazz Khaliq is one of the most egotistical jackasses you will ever meet. He used to drop in on our practices, randomly, while he was coaching at another school. Act like he owned the place even though we’d bust his teams @$$ every time. Can’t stand the guy.

Not trying to be an @$$ but I would be happy with that. We need someone who can stretch the floor at his position. Jerome Hunter is our future at the spot. He seems to be coming along.

I follow his pg’s dad on Twitter. He posts video of the games from floor level. Kid is developing nicely. Maybe the highest ceiling of any player I’ve ever seen. Very good from 3, lockdown defender and out of this world athleticism. Dude can damn near get his head above the rim from a flat footed start. We will like him a lot. I was skeptical of him at first but he’s starting to put it together against some really high level competition.

Agree. This is our best lineup. Play small. Play fast. HAVE to get Hunter going offensively.

May get killed for this but....... Al Durham has no business playing at Indiana. He’s serviceable when we are playing at home against a team in the 200’s of the KenPom ratings but once he hits mid to high major competition, he is an absolute liability about 99% of the time. Love his attitude and his love for Indiana but he’s simply not good enough. Each time I watch him play, I try extremely hard to find reasons why he should be on the court and I cannot find one.

Chris, do you get the sense that certain players on this team have completely lost and been unable to find their confidence? Guys like Phinisee and Hunter (hunter especially) were very good natural scorers. I feel like when I watch this team play, many of our guys are so scared to shoot an open shot for fear of not running a complete set. Many of our jump shots are taken late in the clock and rushed. It seems obvious that they not allowed freedom within the offense. That’s a death sentence. I just can’t wrap my head around this. When Archie was hired we were told that we were going to run a pack line defense and a uptempo offense built on the fast break, much like North Carolina’s. Our bigs, outside of Deron Davis are all mobile and can easily get up and down. Why aren’t we getting up and down? In my opinion, this team is not built whatsoever for the half court on offense (the opposite as when on defense). We need to be pushing the tempo before teams can get set and pack the lane. idk. Questioning everything at this point. Team looks out of sorts. Seems to be part of this staff’s DNA at this point. tell me something encouraging! Lol.

I took my brother to his first game that day. Awful. We were rolling up until that point and we came out and even the warmups looked like they didn’t care. Zero energy. Baffling.

Thank you for saying the program has zero flavor. Been saying this for some time. Compared to the other programs who are winning on the court and on the trail, those making brand decisions compare to when your grandma tries to buy you clothes. Just not in tune with what’s cool and exciting. The people who fight this and act like it doesn’t matter frustrate me. It absolutely does. Our tradition and dusty banners aren’t quite the draw we think they are. Time to get cool.

If there is any coach at the mid major level, it’s Travis Steele. Stud recruiter. if I had my way, we’d bring back Kelvin Sampson. Please spare me the moral high horse arguments. I just want to ******* win.

If we really are being handcuffed by our administration, then it won’t matter who we bring in here. They won’t be able to recruit the talent needed to match our tremendous expectations and compete in the B1G, a perennial top 2 league in the nation.
