if this team can get and STAY healthy, it can be a good team. Our front court has a chance to be one of the better frontcourts in the country. Race Thompson and Jerome Hunter are major X-Factors.

This is awful.

Galloway and Leal are huge for our program. So much better than their individual rankings. Packaging these two together is like adding a 5 star imo.

(2020) SG Trey Galloway To IU
HoosierTrav replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I would really like for IU to get both Galloway and Leal. So much better than given credit. In my eyes, they are perfect for Archie’s style of play. Tough on the defensive end, understand how to move without the ball, understand how to move the ball and both can shoot the 3. These are the kids that would otherwise go to Purdue and kick our a$$ for 3-4 years. Honestly, I’m over the shiny objects. If we can fill the roster with kids like this and sprinkle in the TJD’s, Romeo’s, and occasional high 4-5 star, we will compete year in and year out. -
I have a feeling that this will be the case as well. I don't think there are going to be any real expectations, coming into the season, for this team. I like the depth a little bit better. Jerome Hunter being able to come back and play would be huge, obviously but avoiding the injury situation that Archie dealt with last year would be even bigger IMO.

Romeo Langford - BCM Gravelines Dunkerque
HoosierTrav replied to Trish's topic in Hoosiers in the Pros
Me too. Really hoping the Pacers know something we all don’t, in regards to getting a PG in free agency. The pick was nice but we already have 2 guys at his position. Romeo is going to do really well in Boston. He was the single most effective player in all of cbb when in the pick and roll and avg nearly 17 per. All of this with a gimp shooting hand. Having more space, much better players around him and Brad Stevens should make for a stellar rookie year, assuming he stays healthy. -
(2020) SG Trey Galloway To IU

He’s a dog on the defensive end. Something that doesn’t get talked about near as much. -

Sounds like Aaron Henry hit the lottery. -
(2019) SG Lester Quinones to Memphis

Not a huge loss imho. If we miss both Leal and Galloway, I will start to become worried. -

“When the going gets weird, the weird turns pro.” This Hunter Thompson? -

If Jerome Hunter and Race Thompson are 100% healthy, then we won’t miss any of these guys we missed on. Get either 1 or both of Leal and Galloway and I’m very happy with how the roster is taking shape. -

It’s that time of year again....

I’ve slowed in general. I have 3 kids and a growing business. I do like to pop in, see how things are going and offer my 2¢ From time to time. -
I’m with you. That and Galloway is a lock down defender.

In his defense, he was certain back when Keion was indeed coming to IU. When the tables turned towards UK, he even came out and said that he has no reason to believe that IU will land Brooks. There is rumblings that Cole Anthony is announcing for UNC this week. Maybe this is what he’s talking about. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

2019 April Evaluation Period
HoosierTrav replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
How many times did Crean get back to back Indiana Mr. Basketball’s? Archie did it in year 1 and 2. Also, last years team was solidly in the tournament and probable contenders for a run if we didn’t go through one of the worst cases of roster inavailability that I’ve ever seen. I’m sure he could have done a little better but it’s hard to build consistency when you are constantly having to experiment with lineups. Completely different team with everyone healthy. -
I could care less if the B1G wins any ships. IU is the only conference team I want to win a championship.
