Izzo was basically crying in the post game press conference last year after Justin Smith lit them up in assembly hall. Oh what I would give to see that again. GO HOOSIERS.

Purdue probably. But Michigan’s schedule is rather favorable over the next month. Obviously they can’t keep playing the way they have, but it’s still too early to start scratching them from the tourney. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Yeah I can’t see another road win. But hey I didn’t see us beating MSU on the road last year either. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Agreed. This team has done what it has needed to do to this point to keep it afloat. The next month and half is where it gets real and could define Archie's career here. I am still waiting until the end of the year to really have an opinion on Archie as a coach. I want him to succeed so bad and still have confidence he will, but everyone knows there are definitely concerns. 13 games left. 7 at home. 6 on the road. Have to get 5 wins total to feel comfortable about the tournament. I projected 19-12 and still feel that is what will happen. But yes I agree, this week and really the next 4 are the toughest stretch left of this brutal schedule. Here is to hoping they at least split and go 2-2 heading into Purdue at home.

and you BELIEVING that doesn't make it a fact that us "pumpers" have to rely on. It was never reported that he wanted al durham over mckinley wright. You have made that up in your mind because it fits your narrative, and that is fine. Hope you enjoyed your 4 day hiatus from this board after the OSU game. Glad Archie could give you a break. -

In no way does that mean Archie wanted Al durham over McKinley Wright. More than likely meant he wanted continuity in the program he was coming into while not blowing up the one he left. -

Archie told Mckinley wright he had his mind set on Al Durham instead of him? -

is this your view of what a fact is? How in the world can you know any of this? -

1. True. 2. We can assume this to be true but I have not seen any concrete evidence that he was let go without any hit to our APR. Thus it is speculation. Also, student athletes have to have above a certain GPA to be able to transfer without it affecting the APR. Unless we know what the athletes GPA's were we can only speculate. One can also speculate that the three players who left that summer to play professional basketball did not have the minimum GPA required and did hurt our APR. Thus leaving Archie's hands tied. But again, it is speculation which is what this board is made of every single day. -

You have debunked it in your mind. There are not facts that have done so. Only speculation on your part which you claim as fact. -
I probably missed this somewhere. But what was the reason Duane Washington only played 8 minutes against IU? Just bad play? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

They are also very young and inexperienced outside of Winston, Tillman, and Henry (who is a sophomore). Relying on Rocket Watts, Gabe Brown, Marcus Bingham, and Malik Hall has proven difficult for them in bigger games. See duke, Kentucky, Virginia Tech and Purdue. After the Duke game their schedule got really easy and they cruised. Everyone thought they had fixed the issues, but still the same team as we saw yesterday. It will be interesting to seem how they get through the schedule now that it gets tougher for them. I still think they are the favorites, but we will see.

I said before the Northwestern game that IU needed to win 3 out of the next 4 games to really feel good about their ability to get enough wins for the tournament. I also said they at minimum they had to get 2/4. Well they have won the first two with a huge opportunity to get number 3 in either of the next two games. I have no confidence they will win at Rutgers. That is not a slight to IU as much as it is a credit to Rutgers and the BIG. But if this team plays like it did Saturday I am very confident they will beat Nebraska. That would put them at 14-4 (4-3) which would be huge going into the rest of the schedule. Go Hoosiers.

1 on 1 Player Meetings and Rotation Change

Chris mentioned something along these lines in another thread. Hoping it is true and Archie becomes a lot more demanding. His Dayton teams played so hard each and every game, I haven't figured out why that hasn't occurred at IU. Hopefully it won't be the case anymore. -
Haha well idk about that. But I couldn’t let you get away with saying something nice about Purdue Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Well in Purdue’s first two road games they looked like soft fools... Lost at Nebraska by double digits. And only scored 37 at Illinois and lost by 26. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I do not believe there is any way a freshman Leal outproduces a senior Durham. Is he more talented? probably. But he is ranked right around 100 and will be a freshman. You have to take the senior all day. Now, Franklin surpassing Durham next year is a separate issue. But in the end, Durham will be very valuable to the team next year and no I would not be okay with him leaving. -

To this point in the season you are correct. Hopefully he is a man of his words in the post game and starts doing so. Holding green accountable last night was a start. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
But hey, since IU barely squeaked by Northwestern is now a quad 3 win instead of a quad 4 lol Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
