  1. Wait what? the players are not robots that you can program................................ Literally every one of them whether they play PG or Center are going to be making decisions. That is not something you can remove from the game, this is actually awesome. Have you ever played basketball?
  2. Whatever man. Al durham made terrible decisions yesterday whether he made them as the "primary ball handler" or a normal big ten guard. He just did.
  3. THE DUDE WAS PUT IN PERFECT POSITION TO SUCCEED. HE HAD A 2-1 BREAK. this is literally insane that someone is trying to argue Al wasn't put in a position to succeed when he had a 2-1 break.
  4. So it was Archie's fault that Al durham didn't make the right decision and pull the ball out to run clock? Please. The team broke the press perfectly and Al screwed up.
  5. While IU only moved up 4 spots after they beat Minnesota on the road. Weird.
  6. Agree with Brunk on the hedging. But he has been every bit as successful here as he was at Butler. As for Al, he ran the team for a few minutes. That is what he would do no matter where he is playing. He made dumb passes. On him, no question Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. How exactly are either of them asked to do things outside their scope? Al especially. He is a guard in the big ten. Those passes at the end of the game are within his “scope” as a big ten guard. Those were all on al. Stop trying to fault Archie for that, ridiculous. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. While I agree that College Basketball is down and the tournament will be wild, playing Chris Beard and TTU in round 1 and Gonzaga in Spokane in round 2 is less than ideal EVEN for this year.
  9. Well according to his bracket we would get TTU and then Gonzaga. Goodness that would be awful.
  10. Lol my thoughts exactly.
  11. Yeah Joey isn't the best or most accurate. I couldn't believe he had IU as a 12 seed and play in.
  12. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology Ol' Joe has us as last four in and a 12 seed. Purdue among first four out at 14-13.
  13. Yeah it would be a good time to show him he is the missing piece. All things considered though, seems like there is mutual interest and if he does come back for an OV that is big time regardless of the time.
  14. Lets pray there aren't any opportunities to attend a home game if that timeline is true. If there are opportunities something has gone wrong and IU is in the NIT...
  15. I have only watched a few games of Minnesota's and have been underwhelmed by Oturu. Must just be the games I watch. But TJD absolutely destroyed him on both ends of the floor. Heck, Race had a few finishes over him. This begs the question though, Oturu will leave after this year and Minnesota in all likelihood will be much worse next year without him. Does Richard Pitino keep his job?
  16. It's getting close to that time so I have to post the big ten tournament predictor website. Only 5 BIG games left. Here's to hoping IU wins out and gets a double bye! at least it is still possible at this point. http://bball.notnothing.net/big10.php?sport=mbb
  17. calling out those "die hard' fans who apparently can't read. Or just choose not to because Archie is still the coach and anyone who questions their hatred of him doesn't have a "great eye and head for basketball"
  18. Yeah I was looking at Yale's team sheet. They are 16-6 and they are ranked one spot ahead of IU in the NET. Quad 1: 0-2 Quad 2: 1-2 Quad 3: 6-2 Quad 4: 9-0 Average Net Win: 217 Average Net Loss: 90 This doesn't even compare to IU's teamsheet yet they are ahead in the NET.
  19. Looks like Archie will make more progress in year three than Jay Wright. But keep to your agenda honkyman.
  20. Yeah curious as well. Isn't there some bonus for winning on the road and winning by 10+? Doesn't seem like that helped us out too much in this case. On another note, this team is 4-6 away from home. All that gets talked about our atrocious road record people forget that we have two good neutral court wins that the committee will see.
  21. Idk about progression of player development but his Ken Pom numbers were 52, 57, and 53. None of those years did he have an offense in the top 50. Only one year did he have a defense in the top 50, his first year. The other two were mediocre Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. There was no progress in Jay Wright’s first three years either? I’m not saying he is going to succeed here, but good lord. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. you really missed the point of the article. guess you didn't read it, huh?
  24. 9 P.M. on BTN at the Barn. Indiana: 16-9 (6-8) Minnesota: 12-12 (6-8) Another road game, although this is probably the most winnable one left. Archie is 1-1 in this building with one strong performance and one disastrous performance. GO HOOSIERS!
  25. This. Our program was set back more than just the first three years of the Crea era becaue of the overreaction to the Sampson issues. We are still feeling the effects and remains to be seen if we ever get out of it. The administration dealt with the Bob Knight problems and the Sampson problems all in one decade. They have gone too far in making sure that all never happens again even though the fans couldn't care less honestly.
