Indiana is locked into the 11 seed after yesterday’s games. They will play Nebraska. It no longer seems that Iowa is the most likely second round opponent with Penn states loss to Northwestern yesterday. If the predictions are correct for today’s games, IU would play Penn state in the second round. Maryland would be the third round opponent. Definitely has implications for NCAA. But a win on Saturday only ensures a CHANCE that IU will get a first round bye next week. Purdue would have to lose their game on Sunday, or Michigan has to lose both of their remaining games. When: 7 p.m. TV: BTN Indiana Hoosiers: 18-11 (8-10) Minnesota Golden Gophers: 13-15 (7-11) This game is huge. Many feel that IU can solidify its NCAA bid with a win tonight regardless of what happens against Wisconsin or the BIG Tourney. This is probably the biggest game of Archie's tenure at IU as it is at home against a quality opponent with a chance to punch a ticket to the NCAA, lose it and this Saturday will most definitely be the biggest of Archie's tenure (both bigger than Ohio State last year). Minnesota is a Quad 2 opponent and Archie has not done well the past few years against Quad 2 opponents at home. He is 0-2 this year (Iowa was Quad 1 when we played). Last year he didn't fare very well losing to both Ohio State and Iowa at home that most likely kept the team out of the tournament. Here's to hoping that tonight is a night Hoosier Nation can celebrate, we deserve it. GO HOOSIERS!

Well If you were in the camp that wanted Indiana to avoid the first day of the BIG tourney last night was not a good night. Purdue is now 9-10 and Rutgers is 10-9. They play each other on Sunday and unless Rutgers wins they will both be ahead of IU. If Purdue wins then IU needs Michigan to lose tonight against Nebraska and against Maryland. The odds are not in Indiana's favor. PLUS IU still has to go out and win their last two or this is all moot. The most likely scenario now is that Indiana ends up in the 11-14 game playing Nebraska for a chance to play Iowa. Dare I say that is a good draw? GO HOOSIERS.

Adam Miller will be a freshman. Andre curbelo will be a freshman. They will not have the same impact a sophomore Ayo had this year. Not saying they won’t be good players, but we routinely see that freshman guards cannot lead a team in the big ten. I mean look at Illinois last year when Ayo was a freshman. And I disagree on Giorgi. I would take race all day, as he is a much better defender. We saw what Illinois interior defense looked like with giorgi in the middle.
