  1. Forgot about Draymond Green. lol Assume he will be first team
  2. Yeah 2nd team for the Big Ten's all time leader in assists with a final four and multiple Big ten championships is absurd.
  3. I would hope Wagner makes it over any of those. He took his team to a NC
  4. Yeah I think he will. I would have had him 3rd team. And Cassius not making first team..... What is going on?
  5. Just saw that. Jared Sullinger was a 2x 1st team all-american. I will disagree. Victor didn't take his team to a final 4 but what he did his junior year and since, is unmatched by any other BIG player. SNUB
  6. BTN is releasing their all decade team throughout this week. Yesterday the 3rd Team was announced: Yogi Craft JaJuan Johnson Jordan Murphy DeAngelo Russell Caleb Swanigan Today they are releasing the 2nd team and so far: Carsen Edwards has been announced. My picks for Remaining Cody Zeller Denzel Valentine Sam Dekker Mo Wagner My Picks for 1st Team: Frank Kaminsky Jared Sullinger Victor Oladipo Trey Burke Cassius Winston
  7. I know it is easy to look at freshmen as the next shiny thing that will cure all the team's problems. I get that and have been guilty of it myself. But my goodness I am so much more excited to watch this kid on the court than Justin Smith. He will have a growing process but you can just tell he loves basketball and has an infectious personality. Something this team really needs more of.
  8. https://www.insidethehall.com/2020/06/16/big-ten-power-rankings-offseason-edition-v-1-2/ At this point I think it is pretty solid list. I think Iowa will be much of the same as last year and I don't think they will have enough defense to be top 2 in the league. Michigan is a bit high for me as they will have to rely on a lot of unproven players, especially if Livers leaves. I am more confident in Rutgers and IU than I am Michigan at this point.
  9. You didn’t get the sarcasm. I know what smith was for us. I know what smith will be for Arkansas. Smith on the other hand, does not Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/29306667/wisconsin-michigan-state-make-moves-college-basketball-way-too-early-top-25-2020-21 This article is ironic. Jeff Borzello drops IU out of the top 25 and adds Arkansas because of Justin Smith. What’s even better is his reasoning. He says that Justin Smith fills a void for Arkansas in the front court and leaves a front court depth issue for Indiana. Ummm I guess he didn’t get the memo that Justin Smith is clearly a wing player and Arkansas will use him as such because those are his strengths. DWS Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  11. What was Smith's excuse for his sophomore year when he had Juwan Morgan in the post...? Yeah yeah I know Archie sucks blah blah
  12. well duh. But obviously I was talking about the rate and consistency at which Justin made them
  13. i do agree he isn't the athlete but Jerome Hunter had two of the most impressive blocks on the team last year where he chased a guy from behind and slammed the ball off the backboard. Something I don't think Justin has ever done. I know those are two particular examples, but I think it shows Jerome has the capability to be an athletic defender with good instincts. One was against UCONN and the other was against NEB in the BIG tourney
  14. Maybe. There were plenty of 4s who roasted us while he was here too. But nothing will make me miss his 3-4 drives to the basket/game that ended with a travel, charge, turnover, or a weak take to the rim.
  15. thankfully it will be an upgrade for IU too
  16. Probably Noah Vonleh. Think he was top 10
  17. SIAP Here is an article discussing the schedule the NCAA is supposed to propose to get the season started on August 29th. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/ncaa-committee-aims-for-six-week-calendar-to-start-2020-college-football-season-on-time/
  18. Yeah I know, just won't believe Kansas or any other power program gets anything until I see it.
  19. Yikes. Dare I get my hopes up that the NCAA deals with the other, more culpable programs, in a harsher manner?
  20. Committed today. 3* Athlete from Illinois. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/Article/Illinois-athlete-Trenten-Howland-commits-to-the-Hoosiers-147882513/
  21. Justin Smith's departure slightly lowers the floor for this team but significantly raises its ceiling. Wish him the best and glad he was here for three years, but not too heartbroken about it. I haven't been as confident and excited about an IU team since Yogi's senior year.
  22. BOOOOOOOMMMMM!! Lol not that it is a surprise at this point but now we can all officially count him into our lovely discussions on here
  23. I have no problem with Painter's comments. These were two seniors that left the program after it had invested so much time in them. NOW I don't fault Nojel or Haarms for wanting to leave either, that is their decision and if it is what is best for them I can't judge that. What is funny though is I know if this were Archie making these comments, those supporting Painter right now would be all over Archie. And don't give me the crap that Painter has somehow earned it, he has been to 1 elite 8 in like 15 years. Either way, I can't wait to watch Purdue have to rely on Trevion Williams for 30+ minutes/night.
  24. https://umhoops.com/?p=115018 Another transfer from Michigan. This time its Cole Bajema. They will be really thin at the guard spot and will be relying on three really unproven guards.
  25. Hope he gets the information needed that allows him to make the best decision for him. I will say if he does decide to leave it opens up minutes for Jerome and Race which is not a bad thing at all. If he comes back I hope he has a strong senior season and accepts a role that best suits the team. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
