I’m confused as well. Maybe it means you can only schedule 28 or 29 games but if you want to get to 31 you have to play in some tournament. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

(2021) PF Trey Kaufman to Purdue

Are you arguing that he shouldn’t have been in the post but should have been a perimeter player? If so, not sure you watched what made juwan Morgan, juwan Morgan. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Should be a great time for IU to break the losing streak to them and ultimately move ahead of them in the BIG pecking order. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

have been reading on their boards this was a possibility. ALSO, they just got snubbed by Josh Christopher (5* SG) last night. They had 100% of the 11 crystal ball picks until the hour before his decision. Think if Livers leaves as well it will be a rough year in Ann Arbor. -
Committed today. https://247sports.com/player/larry-smith-46058542/ IU's team ranking moves to 34th nationally and 10th in BIG. Good Start to this class.

Notable BIG player movement this week: Luka Garza - NBA Draft (option to return open) Kofi Cockburn - NBA Draft (Option to return Open Jalen Smith - NBA Draft (Gone) Matt Haarms - Transfer David Dejulius - Transfer Colin Castleton - Transfer Luther Muhammad - Transfer Payton Willis - Transfer From what I have read and heard I expect Luka to be back. Difficult to tell about Kofi, but I think he is gone.

Quite the roster Richard will have next year. I have a hard time seeing him getting beyond next year as their coach. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

2020 General Recruiting Thread

Watched Mineland against Gonzaga and they could not stop him from getting to the rim. He was a linebacker playing basketball. He would be fine with regard to the physicality of the BIG. His shooting stats though..... nah. We already have plenty of that. Unless Justin Smith leaves, not sure I see the purpose of bringing this guy in. -
(2021) C Logan Duncomb to IU, to Winthrop
IUc2016 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I agree with you that most likely he won't be a statistical beast. I just think people disagree with the "we'd be lucky" statement. I think to be lucky means Logan turns into an all BIG player and stays four years. The career averages you posted are the realistic expectations IMO, which are perfectly fine. Shows by his upperclassman years he is averaging like 10 and 7 or something. This counteracts his low averages as an underclassman -

Luke Fischer is one that comes to mind. But crean couldn’t keep him more than a semester lol Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

So trey kaufman didn't want to play with furst. He didn't want to play with Lander. And now he doesn't want to play with duncomb. WHO the hell does he want to play with?! DWS -

As much as I can’t stand Matt Haarms, it was only fitting that he played for Purdue. Is it bad that this upsets me? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

This is where I am at. IU right now, has more talent than OSU and should be better next year.
-
I agree. I do like Holtmann, but I would argue he has had more talent at OSU every year so he should have performed better. Honestly, that talent had more to do with Matta and where OSU was rather than anything Holtmann did. Other than Carton obviously
-
Ohio State has dropped back to the middle of the pack for me. Unless Wesson comes back, it will be interesting to see how Holtmann does with this roster full of 6'6 forwards with few guards and one unproven front court player.

Congrats man, hope all goes well and your family is able to navigate these crazy times safely. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

lol i thought this already happened. Unlimited shots for Kobe and Thor next year.

Yes we did. Jeremy hollowell actually started that game alongside Austin etherington. I was behind the basket for that game, and we chanted some nasty things at Aaron Craft for a good majority of it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Yeah it will be interesting to see where they go for a true front court player. I mean liddell is talented, but Indiana fans know a 6'6 center isn't the best way to go. I do like their backcourt talent and experience though which I think will keep them in the top half of the BIG.

Seems like his intent is to stay in the draft.

I feel that the NBA feedback should be more about where a player falls with regard to potential and fit in the NBA, and less about their actual game. I mean, I kinda agree with Joe in the sense that the players know what they need to work on and the coaches/trainers they have around them can tell them all the need to know. NOW I wouldn't say that a player should just google it lol However, I do believe it is useful for players like TJD to figure out what the NBA sees as his potential for the draft and fit within the NBA. They could tell him something like....we feel you need one more year to work on your game in college and if everything goes right you can be a first round pick next year. We see you as a role player in the NBA as you can rebound, have length, etc. Go work on a jump shot and you can be that player. Same for players who are on the fringe of being drafted this year. Heck, it could be useful for a junior who won't get drafted, but the NBA says look there are a few teams who will give you a chance if you come out and don't get drafted. They are interested in you as an undrafted rookie. I find the whole process necessary for players who are on the fringe of being drafted or have NBA potential. For guys like Al Durham, I honestly feel it is pointless. There have been those inside NBA organizations who have said the same thing.
