  1. Nick Saban is the first Alabama coach to miss the College Football Playoff. I think he needs fired. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  2. I’m surprised your top paid head coach only has a record of 17-21 after three seasons. Would’ve guessed he had more wins. I mean, I hear you can get high school coaches for much cheaper and they will get you a better record than that :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. Never mind the fact that Aaron Henry was a senior the year crean got fired. Crean never recruited him prior to his firing. What a joke Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Edit he was a junior. But it was the year he blew up.
  4. Just got home to see this score. Is ol Gregory in trouble? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. MSU will probably get it together and have a decent season. But they depend on too many freshman and inexperienced players to really be a contender in my opinion. Im sure izzo will prove me wrong though.
  6. I sat court side for Tennessee vs. Georgia last year and Tennessee won by almost 50. Now granted Georgia was really bad and UT was really good, but watching Crean and his team up close I am still baffled that he was the coach at Indiana University for 9 seasons.
  7. unfortunately I don't think the NCAA does either
  8. If Rob is fully healthy I believe he should start. So we will agree to disagree.
  9. I agree Rob hasn't looked 100%. His field goal percentage is a little low at 42% and turnovers a little high at 2.5. But he is still averaging 9 pts and 4.5 ast. If you don't count the Princeton game where he only played 11 minutes due to injury, he is averaging 11.5 points and 5 assists. I agree that Al should start as he has been phenomenal and our best guard so far. But I think Rob should start once fully healthy (knock on wood) and Devonte should continue to provide needed scoring off the bench. Rob is still by far the best ball handler and on ball defender. Al struggles handling the ball against pressure and that will only get worse once IU starts playing tougher competition, and Devonte will always have turnover issues as it is who he is. Al has really struggled to keep the other teams point guards in front of him this year as well. But he is a good defender against secondary handlers. I think starting Rob and playing him the large majority of minutes at point is this teams best option. Just my opinion though.
  10. Second half showed why we need rob phinisee. Too many turnovers and too many times they drove right by our guards. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  11. After watching Michigan State today, the big ten is wide open... let’s go. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  12. Okay that’s fine. But to say he isn’t the starter because he hasn’t been starting isn’t true at all Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. so by your logic Armaan is our long term starter
  14. I’m nursing a myriad of injuries, they are resting me as well tonight. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  15. Not a good start to feast week for the big ten Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  16. Cassius Winston is struggling and Michigan state looks rough... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  17. I agree he isn't there yet. But I think that should be a reason to get him more minutes not less.
  18. Yeah I think it is time to start moving towards regular rotations. Green, Durham, and Phinisee need to play 30ish minutes tonight. It's game 6 and the team needs to be as prepared as possible for Florida State.
  19. I feel like the only two players who haven't taken advantage of their minutes are De'Ron and Joey. They have just been so so. Every other player has made it difficult to keep them off the floor (I don't count devonte since he has only played one game). If Damezi keeps shooting well, it will be hard to keep him off the floor on this team because it needs it so bad. This is a really good problem to have and hopefully that continues when competition stiffens.
  20. lol second part is true. we will disagree on the first part.
  21. I get what you're saying with the tired stereotype. I agree with that part. I just don't feel this board has been really guilty of it, and if it has it is because of Crean's obsession with projects. Foreign or not.
  22. No, my point was that Crean only went after Foreign big men who were projects. That is why people felt that way, rightfully so. And honestly, I only remember a handful of foreign players that have been discussed on this board over the years.
  23. Any foreign player? I don't seem to recall that. Besides, when your recent track record of foreign players is limited to Peter Jurkin and Hanner Perea it's kinda hard not to feel that way. Edit: go ahead and add Mr. Jobe to that list as well.
  24. Has to start? Im sorry I didn't realize he hadn't already landed two Mcdonald's All-Americans to this point. Must have been a dream
  25. I agree. In my opinion this is the ideal starting 5 for next year. Maybe switch Justin and Race (can't go wrong either way). But it has shooting, length, toughness, and athleticism. Plus there would not be any freshman that we have to depend on to start and carry the load.
