  1. The fact that you went through this just shows how much this argument is actually grasping for straws trying to make these situations comparable. Ok, there were 2 days in between games for us, 5 days in between games for ND. If you break it down to hours, 3 days for us, 6 days for them. It's the same thing. But the point is the fatigue wouldn't be just from just the Dayton traveling situation, but from playing 5 games in 8 days, plus the Dayton travel situation. ND didn't have to do anything close to that. They only had to deal with Dayton travel stuff.
  2. Maybe but why is anybody even falling for this idea that Notre Dame and Indiana’s situation was remotely similar? ND played 1 game in their conference tourney on Thursday then had 5 days off until their game in Dayton. Sure they had to also turn around and travel across the country, but that not remotely comparable to the fatigue that could come from having to play 3 high intensity games in a row in our conference tourney, having 2 days off before Dayton and then the travel across country. Fatigue isn’t what lost the game. I’m sure it factored in to our performance some. Had we hung for 30 minutes then faded at the end I might buy that fatigue was a bigger factor. But they just flat out worked us over and were the far better team. But looking at ND’s game yesterday and concluding they didn’t seem fatigued so fatigue shouldn’t have been an issue for us is problematic at best. It’s perfect for Dakich and people who love Dakich. But the situations just aren’t close.
  3. My comment had nothing to do with the PGA reference, but since you mention it again, maybe a full day of, say 36 holes of golf would be a nice little Friday?
  4. Dude.....last night really sucked. But I think it's time to maybe have a banana and go sit outside for a while.
  5. This might be the biggest thing. He's about to be a new daddy, I'm assuming sometime before next season. I have no clue what the answer is, I have no desire to pry into his personal life, nor am I asking anyone to confirm the answer to this. But where baby mamma and baby are could be the biggest factor of all.
  6. It definitely could have ended differently. We could have lost by 20 instead of 30.
  7. Great. I look forward to this program helping this be a distant memory.
  8. We are a long way from being able to have nice things. We finally beat Purdue, finally get back to the tourney, finally win a couple in the BTT, then we’ll allow this season to be most remembered by the program’s worst loss in NCAA tourney history.
  9. Damn it sucks to go out like this. But it makes me almost glad we got put in Dayton. We got to see a tourney win.
  10. They are absolutely working us. This is a defensive clinic against a team that is supposed to be great defensively.
  11. Yeah if you eliminate the hitting open shots, playing great defense, rebounding, and staying composed I’d have to agree with you.
  12. We look exhausted and they look well aware of that. Gonna find out how bad these guys want to play on.
  13. YouTubetv…free 14 day trial. Has all the necessary March madness channels. It will take you through next weekend as well.
  14. I don't doubt the committee will take every chance they can to make the Dayton games appealing. But ultimately, we are the reason we were in Dayton this year, not the committee. Truth be told, any program that the committee would want to put in Dayton to maximize viewership is never playing in Dayton b/c they're way better than that. That's where we need to be.
  15. On the broadcast last night they talked about their conversation with Woody about convincing TJD to come back this year. It ended with them asking Woody if he thought TJD was ready for the pros now and his answer was something like "Yes, I do think he's ready." If that's true, Woody won't be trying to convince him to come back again.
  16. You keep answering your own question. Poor execution vs. great defense? Yeah, great defense tends to affect execution. And yeah he had 21 points, but he had the ball in his hands for about 95% of their time of possession. And he had 10 turnovers!! He could have easily scored 30 and dished out 3 or 4 more assists. Parker isn't shooting well right now, no question. And he's most valuable when he's hitting 3's. But what do you want from a player when they struggling doing things they normally do well? Affect the game in other ways. That's exactly what Parker did last night in playing great defense on arguably their most important offensive player. X wasn't scoring like he has been last night, but he also had 7 assists to only 2 turnovers. Exactly what you need from your PG when he's not scoring at the level we've come to expect. Affecting the game in other ways.
  17. Do we lead the country fouling 3 point shooters?
  18. The illegal screen calls on X and Race were absolutely terrible. Can’t fall for them selling it like that.
  19. How the hell did we get to 30 points this half?
  20. First four games are for the last four at large teams. Richmond got an auto-bid.
