  1. The refs are making an absolute mockery of the game of basketball in this Timberwolves-Warriors game. Almost like the league has an agenda... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  2. That's why I could see IU getting Syracuse or Duke at home this season and possibly UNC on the road the following season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  3. Wheels falling off. Another run on a wild pitch and a walk. Settle down and get those runs back Hoosiers!
  4. It appeared that he followed IU'a season relatively closely with how he described the bad start and coach Crean turning it around. Nice interview. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  5. With "way/ridiculously too early top 25" articles coming up here is an update with rankings. IU has two guaranteed games against top 25 opponents in Kansas and Louisville, both at neutral sites. Butler looks like they will be just on the outside of the top 25 to start the season. Our ACC opponent will most likely be a top 25 team giving us three top 25 opponents. I can't say enough about this schedule and being tested in the beginning of the season. Armed Forces Classic: JBPHH (Nov. 11) Opponent: Kansas (CBS - 4, ESPN - 4, USA Today - 9, SN - 17) (Possible) Gavitt Tipoff: (See below) Fort Wayne Memorial Coliseum (Nov. 22) Opponent: IPFW (N/R) B1G-ACC Challenge: Home game (See below for possible opponents) Crossroads Classic: Bankers Life Fieldhouse (Dec. 17) Opponent: Butler (CBS - 25, ESPN - N/R, USA Today - Others considered (33), SN - N/R) Bankers Life Fieldhouse (Dec 31) Opponent: Louisville (CBS - 22, ESPN - 5, USA Today - 16, SN - 5) Possible opponents in the Gavitt Tipoff games (most likely away) @Xavier (CBS - 5, ESPN - 11, USA Today - 6, SN - 8) @Seton Hall (CBS - N/R, ESPN - 21, USA Today - Others considered (32), SN - 20) @Georgetown (CBS - N/R, ESPN - N/R, USA Today - Others considered (34), SN - N/R) Possible opponents in the B1G/ACC Challenge (most likely home) UNC (CBS - 7, ESPN - 6, USA Today - 1, SN - 2) Duke (CBS - 1, ESPN - 1, USA Today - 5, SN - 4) Syracuse (CBS - N/R, ESPN - 17, USA Today - 13, SN - 12) Edit: The B1G is also well represented in the way too early top 25 polls. Indiana (CBS - 12, ESPN - 8, USA Today - 18, SN - 10) Michigan State (CBS - 6, ESPN - 13, USA Today - 13, SN - 6) Wisconsin (CBS - 15, ESPN - 9, USA Today - 17, SN - 9) Maryland (CBS - 13, ESPN - 14, USA Today - N/R, SN - 25) pu (CBS - N/R, ESPN - 16, USA Today - N/R, SN - 18)
  6. I would expect a decision is made this week.
  7. That's awesome! The top of the B1G looks to be a touch better next season if the NBA doesn't steal too many players. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  8. Well the south shore will be rolling in a few weeks so.... yay surfing!!! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  9. Booo!!!! End of college basketball season. Yay!!!! That was a fantastic ending to the tourney. Now, NCAA do your job and punish those that cheat. Hahaha who am I kidding the NCAA will make a mess of the whole situation. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  10. He had a few good to monster games but Maryland didn't seem connected all season. It appeared they would go through times they would force it into Stone but there wasn't any movement around him. Other times they completely forgot about him and just bombed away from deep. Melo was found out after his frosh season and struggled to find a balance between setting up teammates, shooting, and snapping his head back. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  11. I thought it was a combination of conference commissioners, ADs, ESPN, and projected conference finishes. They definitely want marquee matchups for $$$ and hype. The storylines, hype, and $$$ would be there for UNC-IU or Duke-IU. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  12. Make room for me on the Nova bandwagon! I guess if the NCAA sacked up and punished UNC I wouldn't mind them winning. However, it's more likely the NCAA will give them a title than take away a previous title. Really don't like Johnson's stare down after an alley oop. If a player makes a good play its one thing but just jumping really doesn't do it for me in terms of staring someone down. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  13. Agree, just trying to get a sense of what he is looking for at the next level. It's still extremely early with him still being a sophomore but some players let it be known they want to be the man from day one. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  14. Add Hartman as the glue and experience to that front court along with a possible grad or JUCO transfer. We could actually be a legit two deep, without much drop off, next season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  15. Isn't he going to Zona? Or you're saying UNLV offered after IU? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  16. How connected is your source? Like others, if I'm not guaranteed lottery I wouldn't hire an agent. I'm not sure of Bryant's situation though, maybe being a first rounder is what he's needed to hear in order to declare and hire an agent. I really hope he is back in candy stripes next season but regardless best of luck! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  17. Pap, would having Durham in 2017 along with upperclassmen in Green and Jones, effect Garland at all? I know it's really early in his recruitment but wondering if you've heard anything about what is ideal situation would look like. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  18. Yeah, I think he would be more of a replacement for Max. I could see him playing more at the stretch 4 to allow Hartman and OG to play on the wing more. This would be a huge pickup if Troy leaves. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  19. Concerned over the starting QB before the spring game. Football school problems! Hopefully, Lagow will work hard over the summer to pickup the offense and make good reads. He definitely has the biggest arm, yeah? What are the strengths of each QB? Lagow - arm strength Diamont - mobility Others? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  20. I'd be cool with that game next season. The Hall would be absolutely nuts! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  21. I'd like to see that for some of the players. I'm not sure we'd need to do that for all as we'll probably have some B1G games in those areas. If it works out in the non-con schedule I'm all for it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  22. I thought he would be considered a foreign player because he played in Canada? I don't follow the NBA much or the draft so I could be way off on this. I thought part of the reason for Thon playing in Canada this past season was to set this up? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  23. Agree, the money also goes back into some of the local basketball programs. Maybe we'll see more of it as the program stabilizes/begins to progress? I also wouldn't mind seeing a game in or around Colorado in a few years. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  24. These comparisons are a bit odd but I'll try to explain. He seems to project a higher level of calmness and confidence that very few coaches or professionals posses. I was in a rather sticky situation in Afghanistan. I was surrounded by Rangers and other really well trained military types. We knew something bad was coming and you could sense a nervousness about the group. An older gentleman with the label of "badass" sensed it as well. He started moving throughout the group ensuring everyone knew exactly what to do and when to do it. He brought a sense of faith to a group that knew what to do but needed reassurance. He was a cut above. This is a characteristic that I see in Stevens. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
