  1. Jordan played before his junior year but was cut from the team as a freshman, I believe. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  2. Yeah, I think he starts out getting 12-15 early in the year. It will be mostly as TB's backup while he gets his feet wet. When he gets used to the speed of the college game I think it goes up a bit to 15-18. A lot will depend on TB picking up fouls for being in the general area of certain players. That should decrease as a sophomore and a little less complaining. I agree on DD though. His defense should be above average. He will get called for those "really?!" Fouls in the B1G though. If he can be a garbage man by getting points off Orebs and drop offs I could see him averaging between 6-8 ppg. We were a damn good Oreb team last season and should be even better this season. Last and maybe most important statement: DeRon Davis could be Crean's most important big recruit. That sounds crazy given Zeller, Vonleh, and Bryant before him. However, Davis is outside that "one and done" range of high school recruits. Davis could be the player Crean points to when recruiting bugs in the future. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  3. Get well soon Schwarber. Best of luck on the surgery and recovery. Damn this really sucks. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  4. I wasn't thinking Pastner to GTech. Really?? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  5. Yes Senior - Troy/Hartman (RS) Junior - Newkirk/RoJo/JBJ/MSB Sophomore - TB/JMor/OG Freshman - Davis/CuJo/Green/Gelon Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  6. Was Ball State the first opponent in Assembly Hall? We should schedule them to open next season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  7. Because one has been hyped a lot more...? I mean he was the SEC POY and DPOY! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  8. They have three 4* recruits a CG, SG, and C. I believe Seventh Woods has fallen off a bit because he hasn't developed his outside shot. I have no idea about the others. They will be good but probably top 20 good and not top 10 good. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  9. Forgot about him. I do see him trying to develop more in the perimeter though. I guess we could add Nigel Hayes to the list too. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  10. I think he'll primarily backup TB but could play alongside Bryant for stretches too. TB averaged 23 mph this past season and that was with foul trouble while Max averaged 18. I'm guessing TB jumps up to about 28 mpg leaving 12 mpg at the 5. If DD gets all those minutes plus 6 minutes alongside TB that's still only 18 mpg. I don't see him averaging over 20 a game. 11. I'm not sure I'd go after another freshman at this time. We should have a good starting 5 with a solid backup at almost every position. If Troy leaves we only have one scholarship available. Depending on how the coaching staff feels about the point guard situation I would go after an athletic wing. 2017 is a talented instate class and we need 3-4 scholarships to give out. Hartman graduates and TB most likely leaves for the pros. If Troy stays or we get a grad transfer that is another available spot. I have a good feeling we land a few of our top targets in the 2017 class. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  12. I'm guessing he'll get 15ish minutes per game. Hopefully he can be brought along like OG and JMor were this season with a little more time early in the non-con season. Can you imagine OG-DD-TB along the frontline?! That would be crazy length and athleticism. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  13. Haap will be good. If Deyonta Davis stays he will be good, ditto for Stone. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  14. I believe Assembly Hall is closed for the summer. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  15. It depends on who else is in the starting lineup. If it's between OG and Hartman to play alongside Troy, I would pick Hartman. If it's between Davis and Hartman to play alongside OG I would go with Hartman. OG will be that spark off the bench. Davis will be the backup big to give TB a rest. I would like to see DD and TB get some run together, especially if we can implement a little high-low sets with shooters on the wing/corners. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  16. Since Beilein went to Beileining, Matta played favorites, Bo Ryan filled his viagra prescription, Izzo started liking one and dones, and Painter started stealing his players twinkies? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  17. Huh? I guess he feels like it's now or never. I thought Stone might try to bash heads in the NBA but not Carter. Best of luck to him though. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  18. I can't see DD and TB in the starting lineup unless it or both develop a consistent outside game. That just goes against everything Cream tries to do on offense. I can't see Hartman not starting after starting the majority of the last two seasons. He's the steady glue guy that keeps the team balanced. Please, don't go back to a three guard starting lineup. I don't mind seeing it here or there throughout games depending on the opponent but not as a starting lineup. I would like to see RoJo slide over to point and JBJ join him in the backcourt. Hartman and OG playing on the wing while being able to, in most cases, switch on defense. Obviously, TB manning the middle but developing his perimeter game for threes and dribble drives. Newkirk would be the first guard off the bench. CuJo as the fourth guard with either RoJo or Newkirk on the court with him. Morgan would be the first wing off the bench for OG or Hartman. Davis playing 15ish minutes per game to give TB a breather or play alongside him for a few minutes. This team has a good mix of talented upperclassmen (Hartman, Newkirk, RoJo, and JBJ), a solid frosh class that should make a big leap (TB, OG, and JMor), and a solid requiring class that doesn't have to fill any immediate holes. 19. Why does everyone assume Davis will start and Hartman will be coming off the bench? I don't see two sophomores and a frosh starting in the frontline. RoJo/Newkirk/Green JBJ/CuJo Troy (OG)/OG/Gelon Hartman/Morgan Bryant/Davis *obviously assuming MSB decides he doesn't want to start again. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  20. Huge news! Thank you Bryant! This definitely has this team trending up. Bryant and Davis going to work over the summer will give us 2 solid bugs with Hartman, OG, and JMor rounding out the front court. Man, this is huge! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  21. I don't follow AAU that closely but is this SOP? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  22. Agree, they were in the Hall a few years ago though. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Edit: UNC will probably take a step back with their two best players graduating in Brice Johnson and Marcus Paige, they also lose a big body in Joel James. They do have a good recruiting class coming in.
  23. From The Indianapolis Star: What we know of IU's schedule for the 2016-17 season BLOOMINGTON-- Admittedly early preseason projections expectthe Hoosiers to be just as good next season as they were this winter, if not better. http://indy.st/1RXSRuN Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  24. Understand, IU volunteered to play consecutive road games in order to have at least one marquee home game against puke or an ACC opponent each season. That didn't workout too well. Ha Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  25. Virginia was on the road @O$U last season. It's not out of the question but IU or Virginia would have to be willing to play back to back road games in the challenge. I don't see IU doing that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
