UNC NCAA Allegations
HoosierAloha replied to Walking Boot of Doom's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Not surprised at all. If you don't admit anything it's so difficult for them to find evidence. If you have a former player screaming about infractions but that university is UNC they'll find a way to get around it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Sure wish he would have stuck around to be one of the few to change the culture back to what it should be. Having Luke and Hartman as seniors this season would be nice. I'm not sure how the dominoes would have fallen had he stayed though. Interesting to think about but too complicated to really understand who might have committed or gone elsewhere if he were here. Why take less money to possibly get a recruit or two when you can take more money and pump it into facilities? Adidas gear is awesome. The day we switch to all Nike everything will be the day I stop purchasing IU gear. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Which Zeller coming in was an obvious talent upgrade. It should be interesting to see if DD gets the starting spot or we go with OG/Hartman on the wings. I'm really looking forward to how Crean utilizes two good "bigs" in his system. Seeing TB and Maximus play together gives me hope we will see it used this coming season. Thompson catches the pass and takes three steps without putting the ball on the floor. Why have rules in the NBE?! I try to watch but my eyes are bleeding! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I still can't see DD in the starting lineup if Troy returns. I see TB and Hartman starting in the front court. OG could be that 6th man that comes in and immediately impacts the game on both ends of the floor. We have great versatility though. Big lineup: RoJo, JBJ, OG, DD, TB Transition: RoJo, JBJ, Troy, OG, DD Defense: Green, RoJo, OG, JMor, DD Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Declaring early for the draft

A lot of the players he pays for, err recruits, would have the option to go straight to the league from high school. I'm not sure he develops them in that year as much as he shows them off. Don't get me wrong, the results over the last handful of years are impressive but think he should have more to show for it with the caliber of players WWW brings in. If we could get a Gus Johnson and Bill Walton on the same call all would be right in the world. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

The team and program has a chance to build on last season. There are still question marks in the backcourt while the front court should be better. Here are a few key areas that could determine the level of success. 1) Who will step up to play the point? Can RoJo take over the primary ball handling for the majority of the game? Replacing a 4 year starting PG and an B1G great will be difficult. This is the biggest question mark for me. 2) Who steps up and leads the team? If Hartman and RoJo step up as leaders with JBJ as a quiet leader and TB a vocal leader getting everyone on the same page we could be really good. 3) How does the front court rotation play out and how are they utilized? I was hesitant to ink DD and TB into the starting lineup or on the court at the same time for more than a few minutes. After hearing DD talk about working in his trail and corner threes they could get plenty of run together. Does DD have the foot speed to stay with quicker 4s? We could run some huge lineups out there and take advantage of opponents on the glass. This next season we should have an advantage in the post. Id like to see some high low sets with DD/TB or JMor/DD or TB. We should have the ability to determine the style of play. It should be a fun year with the ability to win the B1G and finally get past the Sweet 16. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

If anyone wants to snag a chair or at least a seat back I'll probably be in Btown in a few weeks. It would be greatly appreciated and I could throw you a bit of $$ for holding it for me. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Eron Gordon hasn't been through it at the B1G level whereas Spike has. He could provide great leadership for young guns like Green, Gelon, and CuJo. Also he would only be at IU a year while Gordon would take a scholarship for four. I would rather go for a one year grad transfer to have spots available for the instate studs in '17. After hearing DD talking about Crean telling him he needs to work on his trail and corner threes it's possible DD plays a lot more alongside TB than I originally though. I still see him getting the majority of his minutes backing up TB. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

(2018) PG Robert Phinisee to Cincinnati
HoosierAloha replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I would love to add Phinisee in 2018 to what should be an already strong backcourt of juniors Green, CuJo, and Durham. We will be losing RoJo, JBJ, and Newkirk the year before. We'll need to reload unless we get a few studs in 2016. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
HoosierAloha replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Pretty sure Langford will have his choice of where he wants to go. I'm sure he'll go where he feels most comfortable and feels he can develop the most. Hopefully that's IU. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Horford with the Oreb and foul after 10 steps. I really can't stand basic rules being ignored for entertainment. NBA should be renamed NBE. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
