I don’t think anyone would deny that team didn’t suck. But it’s impressive to do something never done after not bringing their A game last week. Both offense and defense showed up. We got our depth some game experience. All of which did what they were suppose to. Not often with Indiana football you could say that. We also managed to win 52-0 and still disappoint Gradman. It was a full day.

While it certainly helps, I truly believe that where you go to school doesn't really indicate how intelligent you are or what opportunities you will have moving forward.
Speaking strictly from the legal profession, I have worked with people that went to schools that were ranked lower than where I went that were fantastic attorneys and great legal minds. I have also worked with people that went to ivy leagues that had the same or similar job that I had and who didn't separate themselves from their peers like one might think. 
I do understand the optics of it though, but I am not really sure what any administration can do about it. Not saying something can't be done. I just don't know what can be done as it looks like IU is certainly spending money. 

The only undersized player that’ll be a 4 or 5 this year will be Smith and he’ll only be at the 4 so I’m losing track of what your point is

We can now be EXTREMELY choosy.
For me, that means Love, Garcia, or Whitt, or in lieu of one of them, a post-season big  transfer that would sit one year to play two or three. That allows us to stay old, and to get a player in the program who will be completely immersed by the time he takes the court. It also gives us a year with likely bigs as a senior Justin Smith, a junior Race Thompson, a sophomore TJD, and a senior Brunk. That is more than enough size. 
I think y'all are largely sleeping on Race Thompson's ability to contribute.

It’s a vicious cycle. You know how I feel about this kid. His defense will get him in the game early in his career. Then his overall game will make him a star later on. This kid plays with an intensity we have sorely missed the last couple of years. Love this pickup! Cross and a big for me.

Beginning of September and we already have 3 commits. Very nice. This is what I expected from Archie. I think the Brooks recruitment threw them off a bit which caused them to scramble in April/May. With the exception of that stretch, Archie has really been able to zero in on his targets and get who he wants.

While I have agreed with all your points in these pages long argument with the others lol, but the offensive line did struggle with a good push for the run game. While Penix got out in some space, that’s different for our RBs. Scott had trouble getting good lanes that had space. Of course BSU tried to take away the running game, it could have been better.

Like everyone else, I was disappointed with our missed tackles and dropped passes. If those were not an issue, we would be talking about a much bigger win than what we are. Instead of a 10 point win, we win easily by 20.

I like the potential of this team, because it is there. It’s more evident with their the offense, but this team has a chance to go bowling. Also, love Whitehead and Justus, those are two underrated players that can help us win games!!

Penix also showed why he’s the starter with that potential. He will continue to have mistakes this season, but will get better and grow obviously. Very talented player that will run a lethal offense in his career.

It's not close. And again.. I wasnt down on Ramsey.. not sure we've ever had a more solid back up. 

Our D playing 60% of the first half was due to 1) the two INTs and 2) them not being able to tackle

First half was very poor. Loved how the offense recovered in the second half.

Penix made one bad mistake.  Other INT, a receiver tripped.  Another deep TD flat dropped, or 18 would have been 25.  As it stands, he accounted for 393 yards of offense against a team that obviously wanted to take away the run.  In his first game as a starter, and redshirt freshman coming off an injury?  I have no idea why people would be as negative as they have been.  Penix can do a whole lot more than Ramsey can.  Thus, the team can go a lot farther with him, as long as he matures and grows into the role.  One game (which could have been much better from a numbers standpoint) does not a season make.

The dude even trashes the program when he's calling our games. Plenty of people are capable of being controversial without acting like total dbags. Look at Skip Bayless. He's crazy but he doesn't treat guests like crap. I want us to be successful and the coaches/players to act like Dakich doesn't even exist. That'd be the best revenge. 

Yep the way Archie gets his revenge in my book is to win, win big and then to make it clear to everybody involved in the program is to never give Dakich a single sound bite 
You’d have staff and players giving interviews to podcasts and fan sites but not Dakich sends a very loud message. 

No, Dan has been critical of Archie from day one and is so immature as to publicly call him Little Archie and go through every staff member making fun of them.

He might stop talking **** if we start wining consistently but he won’t have access to the team as people don’t forget
