  1. Just because he won't likely get drafted doesn't mean he won't test the waters or even potentially go. I don't think he's extremely academically inclined, and the G-League or Europe pay way better than IU (but probably don't pay better than Louisville, Auburn, UK, Arizona, KU, etc, etc).
  2. What I'm trying to say is:
  3. His game translates about as well as ancient Sanskrit translates into pig Latin. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. My cursory interwebby research shows that Troy left while two classes and an internship short of a degree. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. And I don’t assume a prep school warrior is likely to graduate in three years. The IU players who offhand I can remember graduating in three (and with some of them playing at IU as grad students) are Hulls, Roth, Oladipo, and Zeisloft. None of them came to IU from prep high schools/basketball factories. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  6. I know why; because sitting on the bench for two more years waiting for graduation so that you can become a grad transfer would be depressing as heck. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. Oooh, ooh...is this like Jeopardy? Okay, I'll try; the answer is "Illinois basketball". The question is: What is now grosser than Groce? Where was Underwood when he was indicted? Which college team is as depressingly bad as Illinois football? Which college team has had more player criminal indictments than NCAA tournament games the last five years?
  8. I just read a tweet that Romeo and Matt Lauer stole candy from Roy Moore, and Garland assisted Harvey Weinstein in toilet-papering Kim Jung Un's house. (too much?) Just sayin' "Don't believe everything you read on the internet": Abraham Lincoln
  9. As if one needed proof of Walking Boot's despondent theory, the last few posts should emphasize that he is indeed correct:
  10. He’s not good enough to play on this team. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. We aren’t long enough, or athletic enough............yet. We will be..........soon. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  12. We value the ball. Every possession. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  13. We aren’t “soft” anymore. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  14. We are a well coached basketball team. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  15. They are both freshmen, and they are both really good. Time will tell if they develop into high major D1 players.
  16. Nips my friend, you are obviously still in remission with an affliction commonly known as "Crean-itis!" Common symptoms are: Believing that offense, not defense wins games. Constant "weaving." That "getting in a track meet" will get 'er done. That defense is an afterthought, or at the very least, not a primary thought. That working from the perimeter, not the paint, is effective. Sipping caffeinated beverages like a fiend (okay, maybe you don't have those beverages in your profile :) That our bigs should guard their bigs reeeeaaaally closely on the perimeter. That an opponent's effective zone defense is a sign to wave the mercy flag of sadness. BUT...I have the antidote, the intervention...HALLELUJAH...THE CURE! it is a healthy dose of:
  17. And for those of you who aren't aware, Coach Sam Story is far more plugged in to the Indiana high school basketball scene than some random 247 board poster will ever, ever, ever, (ever) be. This post by Story is non-committal, realistic, and chock-full of information without drawing any unfounded conclusions.
  18. Could not disagree more. If Duke’s freshmen aren’t “ready to play,” it will largely influenced by where the game is being played. In fact, it will be because Assembly Hall is making their little blue freshmen tallywackers pucker. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. "I'm Bryce Drew, and recruits like me!
  20. "I'm Bryce Drew, and recruits think I'm dreamy!"
  21. "I'm Bryce Drew, and I can do anything! Honestly!"
  22. "I'm Bryce Drew ;). Would I lie to you?!?"
  23. I'm guessing that Archie will not have this team focused on what they're missing. He'll have them focused on what they need to do. An Archie Miller-coached Indiana Hoosiers team might just have a little more grit and determination than many (but not all) of us are giving them credit for. And if you don't think that Wendell Carter can get in foul trouble just as easily as DeRon Davis, that Duval and Trent can force shots and play like freshmen, you may be in for a pleasant surprise. Lastly, sure, Duke has more talent. That's indisputable. But Duke's talent has only played at home, at neutral site gyms, and at high school-prep school gyms and all-star games. If you think that Duke's talent won't tighten up more than just a little bit in Assembly Hall? Well that's where I KNOW what's what.
