  1. 247 composite has him ranked in the 300's.
  2. From the press availability today: Reporter: "Juwan, I know it's early, but what's the biggest difference from a year ago that the fans are gonna notice right away at the start of the season?" Juwan Morgan, pauses, gets a serious look on his face, and then says "I feel like there won't be any questions of leadership at all." BULLSEYE.
  3. Oh yes...the sales pitch makes perfect sense. It's the player that is questionable.
  4. Found the quote - it's from March 2017: “I’m looking for a school that has a great coaching staff and a school that makes a player better,” Forrester said. “I’m not trying to say go to the NBA or make money some day, just try to make a player better than what he already is. That’s one of the biggest factors. And a school that’s big but not too big, and academics. I’m real big on academics.” Forrester does want to make an impact on his team, though. Learning from some of the best is important, but using those skills to contribute to a team is also a factor. For a player with his talent, coming in an impacting a team immediately is something any school is going to take advantage of and is something Forrester will consider in his decision. “I want to go to a school lets me have an impact my freshman year,” Forrester said. “Doesn’t mean I have to start my freshman year, just means I’m able to impact the game.”
  5. Wow. He just took unofficials to Pitt and South Carolina, and he's practically lived at Penn St. and none of them are on that list. I just read a May'17 profile on him in which he said that academics are critical, he's not thinking about playing in the NBA or playing for money some day; just becoming as good as he can be, and while he'd like to be able to impact his future team as a freshman, he certainly doesn't expect to start as a freshman. Be still my old school heart!
  6. Collin and Juwan. Eventually Justin Smith. Smart, squared away young men and natural leaders.
  7. Just watched an ESPN Classic replay of the 2013 Hoosiers winning at MSU. My goodness Victor Oladipo was special as an Indiana Hoosier.
  8. It's a slow week. Maybe Musa Jallow to OSU will perk things up? Nah.
  9. Nah, he was just trying to suck up to the Pennsylvania audience.
  10. It wasn't an interview - it was a speech RMK gave, and it was given long, long after Paterno's knowledge of the Sandusky situation was revealed.
  11. From an article on a 2016 RMK speech: 'I've always been a big fan of the state of Pennsylvania,' retired Indiana basketball coach Bobby Knight told a crowd in a Philadelphia suburb. 'One of the people – one of the people that I admired most in college athletics was Joe Paterno.' Paterno knew early on that assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky was molesting and raping teen boys and did nothing to stop it, according to court documents unsealed over the summer.
  12. That's one weird-@$$ article about the... ... ... ... (wait for it) ... ... Greatest Hoosier ever!!! ;-}
  13. Another Trevion Williams highlight video, and I owe Trevion Williams an apology! I have located video of him "sending it home". It's a miracle that the rim didn't come down! ;)
  14. Ugghh...Trevion Williams. His most recent pre-injury highlight video shows all the big man athleticism of a middle-aged dude after a Golden Corral binge as he "dominates" a bunch of 6'1" guys. This kid is 6'8", and takes finishing below the rim to a whole new level. And, now he's got foot problems. Hope the young fella gets healthy, but Swanigan part II he ain't. Don't believe me? Watch the video:
  15. Or, we quite soon could lose Damezi to Purdoodoo or ND, causing a mini-meltdown of the board! :) Would be nice if he was the first good news; he'd be an excellent get for the program.
  16. It's NOT fair! The coffee he drinks is excellent.
  17. That is some partisan, inside the fanbase press. A "sleeping giant" is just that...sleeping.
  18. I'm thinking he either commits to Michigan in the next few days, which is a real possibility, or if we can get him back for an official we are the front runners.
  19. Watford and Brooks's position is..."basketball player." Plain and simple. And they are really good ones from great families. Damn straight they can play together.
  20. Yes! That's why we are all excited about the prospect of Lugentz Dort from Canada. Absolutely no bad precedent with that name combo. ;)
  21. Holtmann said that grades were the start of his off-court problems. Not the entirety of them. The press articles say he's a likable kid but with no self-discipline. Sounds kinda Troy Williams-ish, and that turned out as a net positive for us, but with many bumps in the road along the way.
