  1. TJD, Zeke, KBJ and a guard. That would be really, really good. Really good.
  2. "I know I have my Purdue visit August 30 through September 1," said Franklin. "I believe my Indiana visit is the weekend of September 14, and then I think Xavier will be in-between those two visits." Based on this, we have last visit. IMO, Bouknight and Anthony Harris better hurry up and get to Btown - it would be awfully nice to know where we stand with those two before Franklin arrives for his official. Ramsey has stated he's going to wait until spring, so he would be in contention for the fourth spot in our '19 class, if post next season there will be one available.
  3. "His ballistic skills have been confirmed, and even increased, to Indiana, team with whom he played from 2014 to 2016 and with which he ended his year as "Junior" at the head of the Big Ten statistics regarding the shooting from the distance in regular season, with 51.4%." It must read better in Italian! :)
  4. Would not be the least bit surprised. Newman may very well be a Purdue lean and it seems like Bouknight has a similar skill set.
  5. PS: Brohm > Painter :)
  6. Oh lordy. Forgot that we may be "a football school" too!! PS - I am old, disoriented, and generally suck. SORRY VPC!
  7. pro·fes·sion·al prəˈfeSH(ə)n(ə)l/ adjective adjective: professional 1. relating to or connected with a profession. "young professional people" synonyms: white-collar, nonmanual "people in professional occupations" antonyms: blue-collar 2. (of a person) engaged in a specified activity as one's main paid occupation rather than as a pastime. "a professional boxer" synonyms: paid, salaried "a professional rugby player" antonyms: amateur
  8. Really? Not sure how you came to the conclusion that Purdue is in for a big recruiting year. So far they have two guys that IU looked at, but decided not to offer. The higher ranked of those two, Gillis, had knee surgery in April, and had another knee surgery last week:: Mason Gillis New Castle Chrysler Sch (New Castle, IN) National Composite Rank : 145 Commit 6/24/2018 Isaiah Thompson Zionsville (Zionsville, IN) National Composite Rank: 225 Commit 1/7/2018
  9. Oooh... in with the jokes before this recruit officially fades from IU's radar: "IU to have a high-character/Cockburn-free 2019 recruiting class." "IU gets mixed news - bad experience with Peter Jurkin, but no Cockburn." "Dunks will continue in Indiana, but without Kofi."
  10. Yes! Everyone needs to start slamming Lafayette and Purdoooo. Kumbaya Btown brethren! ;)
  11. I’m in Welly-world. Atlantic Ave is mucho fun though
  12. “Every true IU fan’s wish; Ol’ Fisch.”
  13. Apparently had a good night in front of Archie: https://twitter.com/Cue_the_Music/status/1023004989277589505?s=20
  14. Those seem to be the names; I’d say some of the positional assignments are varied.
  15. As the parent of a high school junior who is a musician, I can tell you with absolute certainty that the Jacobs School is a very, very big deal. Routinely ranks as one of the top twenty programs nationally - better than that in certain disciplines. And that ranking takes into consideration that many of the top music programs are 'strictly arts' conservatories. If music is Zeke's passion, IU has a real in. UCLA is also a very, very good music school, but of his finalists list IU is the only high-ranking one that would allow his family to see him regularly.
  16. A warning point to Hutch89 for a politically charged post! [easy fellas - eeez a joke :)]
  17. From a sideline interview of TJD last night: Reporter: "When you see IU's coach out here watching you when there's obviously a big tournament in Vegas going on as well. But, when he's here to watch you as well, and Purdue's got an assistant coach here What does it mean when you see some of these B1G schools, some powerhouses, investing a lot in recruiting you?" TJD: "Um, it just shows that they're trying to recruit the state inside out. So that they're just trying to get the best players in the state rather than going outside the state to get those type of players. But they're trying to get the state of Indiana locked." ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hmmm... I wonder where I've heard that before? I'll think I'll try the 9:45 mark of the Archie Miller introductory press conference:
  18. Oooh... This is a good one! https://twitter.com/IndianaMBB/status/1022599352991268864?s=20 Some takeaways? DeRon is the life of the party, and he’s looking pretty mobile. Per DeRon, Justin Smith is the team’s best dunker (well, yeah), Fitz is the best pure shooter, and DGreen is a sloppy player Them Jake Forrester camera angles keep causing conversation: he looks a good inch taller than DeRon when they’re standing side by side (!)
  19. I wonder if Al Durham has the potential to be a 25 minute per game point guard. Our starting lineup would be mighty long, athletic, and defense-solid if it was Al, Romeo, Justin, Juwan, and Fitz.
