  1. 12-8 would put us in that 4th-6th place area that we're projected to. Can we do better? Sure, but that would be a bonus, not an avoidance of disappointment for me.
  2. I’m seeing ten non-conference games. One is a likely loss, five are very likely to be wins, and four are gonna be a close call. If things go according to Hoyle, that’s a 7-3 non con. Let’s say we add to that a 12-8 conference record and a first round B1G tourney win. That equates to a 20-12 record with a very, very strong strength of schedule, and that is a tourney team. So, for me at this point, better than 20-12 leans toward overachievement, and less leans toward underachievement.
  3. Kinda reminds me of this!
  4. He seems like a REALLY high character young man. Not a good sign, or what anyone ever wants to see.
  5. Except for the fact that Gillis just had his second knee surgery and may not play in the near future.
  6. Think of it this way: In Fort Wayne Keion will almost always be the biggest player on the court. At LaLu, he can play guard. And there’s a team that he’s interested in that looks to have a 2019 need at shooting guard. It’s the team with Langford, but it’s not the team with Josh Langford.
  7. Keion Brooks is the kind of shooting guard that starts for national championship quality teams.
  8. It’s about time you brought some insider info to this board! I’m still waiting for me to know something Worth sharing :-)
  9. I'm gonna speak for Stromboli (I know...dangerous move ;) Given the way that you post and interact on BtownBanners, I don't think that the "let's not overreact or wish KBJ badly" advice was largely directed at, or intended for V05. At all.

  11. And the deliciously wonderful thing would be: Best pg Brooks Hunter Smith TJD with Al, Zeke, Jake, Race, Newman, and Damezi off the bench. oooh, I think I feel faint.
  12. If (and it’s a big ‘if’) we got TJD, Zeke, and KBJ, the fourth member of the class could be quite literally any guard that fogged a mirror and it would still be a top five class nationally.
  13. But there are two very distinct issues here: 1) Who has criminal exposure, and 2) Employment law. And no one is “guilty “ in an employment termination. Ya just get fired for what ya did. And the legal standards for that are far less stringent.
  14. I’m curious if you’ve ever held a management position where your leadership qualities and integrity were paramount?
  15. Well he’s turned his story around now, and squarely asserts that he pushed Zack Smith issues in 2015 up to higher levels. There’s no way that 0SU lets him falsely assert that if it’s not true and allows him to falsely stick this on them.
  16. He didn't just say he followed protocol, he said he followed protocol by elevating issues concerning domestic violence through proper channels. If he's lying in this statement? He's toast. But the statement is pretty clear to me. The ball is now in OSU's court.
  17. I think so! IF (and right now it's an 'if') Meyer told his superiors his knowledge of the information he had in 2015 and OSU buried it? That's largely on OSU senior administration.
  18. I think this statement by Urban Meyer is pretty definitive: Urban Meyer says "I have always followed proper protocols and procedures when I have learned about an incident (of domestic violence)...by elevating the issues to the proper channels. And, I did so regarding the Zach Smith incident in 2015. ...any suggestion to the contrary is false." If this statement by Meyer is true and he can show that he did so? OSU has more explaining to do that Urban Meyer does.
  19. Not trying to be a snot to Joe, but for the non-lawyers among y'all (and bless your hearts for not being lawyers!): "Do you fire someone without proof?" Urban Meyer has an extremely complex employment contract. If they fire him, you can be darn sure they will do so with what OSU considers "a preponderance of the evidence". THAT is the standard that Meyer could cite as not having been met by OSU in a wrongful termination lawsuit. If he resigns without a fight? That is a very strong indicator that Meyer thinks they have the goods on him and that it was an appropriate termination. "No due process and no more innocent until proven guilty?" "Innocent until proven guilty" is true for a defendant's status in criminal court when charged with a crime (with "probable cause" being the standard for arrest), and has absolutely nothing to do with OSU's ability to terminate an employee. As for Meyer's due process, I am quite sure that Meyer's lawyers are well aware of their options to exert their due process and contest a termination, move for an injuction to forestall the termination, and a host of other options that I would assume an employment lawyer is well aware of. "What about all the players in college who have hit their GF’s or know of their friend hitting a gf and did nothing about it? Kick them off the team?" Well...yes. That's exactly what you can do. AND, unlike when a teammate hears about criminal conduct such as this, when: It's a repeated pattern of being in a leadership position and hearing about it? Being the ultimate leader who is responsible for the integrity of the organization, knowing about it, and doing nothing about it? Damn straight you are gonzo. Rule of law Joe, rule of law.
  20. Wow.
  21. Sneak preview of what an Elam Ending will look like:
  22. All true, but for us to take four in the '19 class, one of those names would no longer be a Hoosier, whether it be for early entry, transfer for more playing time, etc.
  23. It's certainly got its attraction, but no more buzzer beaters. I'd have to see it in real college bball games to truly know if I liked it.
  24. We’d have Phinisee, Green, Durham and Bouknight as true guards, with Hunter, Brooks, and Anderson as swing men. Four true guards, just like this year.
  25. We are likely going to lose four rotation players: two bigs (Juwan and Fitz), and two wings (Romeo and McBob). I see no reason why our ‘19 class couldn’t be two wings (Keion and Bouknight) and two bigs (TJD and Zeke).
