  1. Oh...I hear ya' - no worries and once again, I understand the sentiment. All I'm saying is; there are some rumors floating around, and for one and all it isn't wise to speculate about kids on the team who may be really good kids who are staying, because if we might have room for an addition, 'ya never know who might not be here.
  2. Understand the sentiment, but probably not wise to speculate on Hoosiers in good standing that could leave wholly based on a rumor.
  3. Me thinks you just created the "right topic." Keep posting scoot, and let's have this be the thread for summer arrival and workout info!
  4. Indiana Basketball‏Verified account @IndianaMBB FollowFollow @IndianaMBB More "It's been a great process ... but it is in my best interest to return to IU and continue preparing for my senior year." - @juwanmorgan
  5. It's official...HE'S BAAAAAAACK!!!! Boys and girls; it's winning time: Morgan, Smith, Langford, Hunter, Green, Phin, McBob, Al, and all the rest: Start. Your Engines.
  6. Yup - I started at IU during the sad Sam Wyche year, and by my senior year I was on the field in the rain tearing down post-Michigan win goalposts. Dem Hoosiers would run through a wall for Coach Mallory.
  7. I bet you were young enough to put a lil’ scare in him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. I’m not quite sure what an “A$$-a-muck” is, but somehow that seems spot on. Wish I was there to watch the mighty Nips slay the Purdooders in that bar. Hell, I wish I was in any bar with NaplesHoosier! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. Any current B1G player to next year’s IU roster it would be: (fill in your choice) For me? Matt Haarms of PeeYeew Super lanky shot changer with inappropriate, spastic celebrations; doesn’t need the ball in his hands to be effective. Your choice? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. EXACTLY, and that’s not all; I find it kinda ridiculous that some are busting on the Post for reporting on what they consider “old news.” A national-not sports publication is trying to publish for readers who may never read college b-ball articles unless it’s during March Madness. This article is a piece using Romeo as a case study to describe a prevalent National situation. It does its job well IMO. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. CHICAGO — Kevin Huerter has opened a lot of eyes at the NBA draft combine this week. The Maryland guard, who arrived to Chicago as a projected second-round pick, is rising up draft boards after turning in a solid performance in the combine’s first five-on-five scrimmage and producing eye-opening results in the agility and shooting drills on Thursday. The Heat currently don’t have a pick in this year’s draft, but they were interested enough in Huerter to use one of their 20 allotted interviews at the combine on him. The Palm Beach Post confirmed the Heat also interviewed former Hurricanes guard Bruce Brown this week. “It went well,” Huerter said of his meeting with Miami. “It wasn’t an intense environment, which is nice. It really felt like we were just having a conversation and they were just trying to get to know me.” On Thursday, the 19-year-old made sure the rest of the NBA knew about him. Huerter, who is looking to prove he’s more than just a 3-point shooter, had the top shuttle run among the 40 players tested Thursday, was fourth in the three-quarter-court sprint, seventh in lane agility and finished 14th in maximum vertical leap at 38 inches. This was less of a surprise, but the 6-foot-7, 194-pound sophomore also proved he’s one of the best shooters in the draft Thursday. He finished first in the spot-up right-side shooting (a perfect 100 percent), right corner NBA shooting (a perfect 100 percent), and on-the-move 15-foot shooting at 87.1 percent, while tying for third in spot-up left-side shooting. And Huerter was also solid in the first scrimmage of the combine, finishing with nine points on 3-of-9 shooting (2-for-7 on 3-pointers), two rebounds, three assists and one turnover. The Ringer projects Huerter as a second-round pick, but that was before the combine, and describes him as “a sharpshooting wing with range from deep and a feel for playmaking.” Huerter averaged 14.8 points on 50.3 percent shooting from the field and 41.7 shooting from 3-point range to go with 5.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists as a sophomore at Maryland this past season. He has not hired an agent yet, so he has until May 30 to announce whether he will return to Maryland for next season. But with the way Thursday went for Huerter, the NBA draft could be in his immediate future. And if he somehow lands in Miami, he won’t be upset with that.
  12. Stop acting naive Doc. You know as well as the rest of us what he’s trying to say. ;) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. Stromboli on the recruiting trail:
  14. Davis wasn't productive or conditioned enough to average twenty minutes a game last season before his injury.
  15. Oh geez ... I thought you meant RealIU had a PU board handle! Strom can say anything he wants on the PU board - him and mdn should go have an in ice cold Pabst Blue Ribbon and some wings together and make peace IMO. It stresses out my tender feelings when two A+ posters have a snit-tiff! ;)
  16. It’s a pretty good story, because the average reader of a major metropolitan newspaper does not know about this aspect of high school sports and how it intersects with major apparel corporations. Romeo is merely used as a microcosm of the wider scenario. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. Don’t like it, but not especially worried that there is any real chance of fallout from it because sadly, this is all allowed. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  18. Just curious - What's his handle on the PeeYew boards?
  19. We'all was spoiled just a bit with the rapid fire Damezi/Race/Hunter/Phinissee/Forrester gold rush of last summer. Could it happen (relatively) all at once again? I suppose, but that cannot be sustained as the norm.
  20. TJD's schedule for announcing is not the IU fan base's schedule for wanting to know...lol!
  21. I digress, but LeBron has come a long, long way since coming into the league as an 18 year old and the next big thing. My impression is that the best of the league currently perceives LeBron James to be a great leader and a great teammate.
  22. Not good on assist to turnover ratio. Seems to playing as the focal scoring option more than as a guard. That's okay, but that may be why we are not offering yet.
  23. FWIW, didn’t some kid named Langford destroy Keion Brooks during their head to head matchup last season? Wonder what happened to that Langford kid, would sure like to have him! [emoji57] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  24. Trey Porter + Martin twins + Brown = top ten team.
  25. It seems to me that the pull for Juwan would be purely a monetary decision; one extra year of getting paid well to be a basketball player, very likely in Europe. Or, one year earlier entry into the G-League with an opportunity to build an NBA resume for an extra year. The counter-pull is a quality of life issue for the next year; without question playing in front of packed houses, adoring fans, alongside his best friends, and on national television can only be accomplished at one place, IU, and that option only exists for one more year of his life . In my opinion, I expect that given the upside of those options, Juwan's family and his values, he will forestall his entry to the paid workplace, and stay.
