  1. Somebody kidnapped you and forced you to attend a Butler basketball game!?! Lol
  2. They lost four of their five starters; Sulieman, Carter, Stone, and Layman. Every starter except Melo Trimble.
  3. OK State is pretty good. I'd rather have my team lose to them than lose by nine to Omaha, or only beat Oral Roberts by 5! Other than Wisky, us, PU, and Northwestern's improvement, he B1G is very much having a down year.
  4. Three of those buckets were on 'and-1s'. Candy Stripes, not Candy Ass. He may only hit 5'8"; but he actually told me he thinks he could be good enough to be like Taylor Wayer one day. No Dukie or Turgeon walk-ons in this house!!
  5. My kid is super coachable, watches a ton of hoops, and really understands how to play. He draws a ton of Frank Mason/Melo Trimble style fouls on the drive. It is really fun.
  6. In the past 24 hours: IU cruised, and looked quite good doing so. My 5th grader went for 29 in his league game. 2-3 from three with that Jordy Hulls style jumper and two nifty baseline reverse layups. and UK got dumped...at home. Basketball been veddy veddy good ... to me.
  7. Yes, but never worked in employment law. MartinTheMopMan is a very, very good legal source on this board.
  8. I know that Bridges will be back soon, but with a healthy OG I just don't see anyway we will lose to MSU this year.
  9. Wow Michigan State. Tied in the second half, at home, against a winless Oral Roberts team that lost to the University of Oakland by 30 two days ago.
  10. Goodman with an assist from WayneFleek for the score!!
  11. The announcers are obsessed with Priller. As they should be.
  12. Earliest Priller time EVER!! I smell a career high!!
  13. No letdown tonight. [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji16][emoji16]
  14. This year! JBj having ANOTHER good game when his shot isn't falling! Love it.
  15. Yes! But by contesting the firing he could have had, at a minimum, the base salary for the entire six years while he looked for something else. I'm not sure what the incentives were that brought it up to 12 million, but some of those might have also been included in a firing without cause. In any event the point you made is excellent, but as in any negotiated settlement, when one side gives up the vast majority of the deal they usually are not holding much, if any, leverage.
  16. Thought this was good enough to deserve its own thread: IU has some sweet tech equipment. This is a 360 degree "gigapixel" view of Assembly Hall during a IU/UNC game timeout when the score was 19-9 . When you zoom in, the picture quality is so good that you can see Dickie V's nose hairs, the app icons on the screen of Jordan Tucker's IPhone, and the facial expressions of the poor saps who paid $175 bucks to sit in the last row of the balcony. See MSB up close! Eyeball your favorite cheerleader! Look for Uncle Ferd and Aunt Wendy! Pretty choice stuff; enjoy: https://gigapixel.panoramas.com/indiana/basketball/20161130/
  17. The Alicia Silverstone and Tim Priller pics will cheer up even the most coldhearted among us ;)

  19. With my IU law degree and dime-store logic in hand, here's my take: Kevin Wilson had a checkered start at IU. He was told in no uncertain terms that he needed to change. Everything had gotten better. Personally for Wilson, and on the football field. Things were going so well that in January, 2016, Wilson was signed to a 6 year, $12 million extension. In October (or so), one of the serious behavior issues re-appeared. Glass had an independent investigation done, which fully corroborated the allegation(s). Wilson, who could have been fired for cause and received nothing, or challenged the cause and received all $12 million, instead chose to resign and accept $542k. If Wilson thought he would have successfully challenged the potential "fire for cause" decision, he NEVER would have resigned for a $542k settlement. IU had a fantastic choice in the wings, and made it happen immediately so that on-field momentum and recruiting would not greatly suffer.
  20. We're gonna grab the other teams by their *****! (sorry Nips - couldn't help myself)
  21. Doyle reminds me a lot of Dakich, only in print: Very smart, Very interesting, Brutally honest, and At times over the top to prompt discussion and reaction. For me both Doyle and Dakich are a "must see".
  22. DeRon was so, so good last night. He reminds me more than a bit of the guy he was playing against, Kennedy Meeks.
  23. ^^This^^ Widely known.
