  1. You're right. Let's go with the wrestler dude!
  2. It would be incredibly disappointing if there was real evidence that we prioritized similar or lesser recruits from the east coast over the Midwest. It would also be disappointing if we took a player who would not be as valuable to our roster just because he was from the Midwest. It's a long-standing discussion on this board, but there's plenty of evidence that we work hard locally and regionally (Gelon, OG, Juwan, JSmith, etc), but don't pass up a good opportunity from the east. For the past few years, it seems that the most valued common denominator among our recruiting interests has been character, with high-level talent as the second highest priority. Ranking service star ratings? That is not a dis-qualifier, but also most assuredly is not a real factor.
  3. It makes sense if he's good enough. Not trying to be a smartass; he's a 6'8" face-up wing who rebounds at a high level and is a high-character kid. We are likely going to lose OG, and so, Forrester's description fits the "we need that" bill. Is he the right guy for that slot? I have no idea, but apparently the IUBB staff has seen him in person, (I expect on multiple occasions) and thinks he might be.
  4. A couple of points of interest: -> He is apparently about to start appearing on the high major radar: "Heading into the event this weekend, all of the talk surrounding the Westtown basketball program was about five-star big man Mo Bamba, Arizona signee Brandon Randolph, and five-star junior small forward Cameron Reddish. However, it was Jake Forrester, a 6-foot-8 forward out of central Pennsylvania, which took the floor by storm. " No surprise that there will be late arrivals to the scene. -> He is a very good student who re-classified to '18 once upon a time. I betcha betcha betcha we are looking at him for '17, not '18.
  5. Nova is missing alone in the gym at night-level wide open threes.
  6. DeRon, Juwan, CuJo, RoJo, Josh, Zak, Devonte and Justin is a pretty solid core to start with, and I expect us to add one more substantial contributor. We'll be good...or better than good.
  7. Cautiously very optimistic
  8. Apparently "family member" could include any household member, i.e; live-in girlfriend. That would make this a very bad personal issue for Bragg, but not a KU "his mama got a sweetheart job deal in Kansas" program issue.
  9. Carlton Bragg of KU arrested for domestic violence against a family member. Not only is the crime a huge issue, but since he's from Ohio, I'm curious about his family member's employment while living in central Kansas.
  10. Penn State? Oof.
  11. Nope. Bad hands.
  12. Yes, this one is really him too!
  13. I predict that MSB scores, and scores big (for Tim Priller).
  14. ^^Amended to reflect reality^^
  15. BGleas makes a major point about the FW game; OG is by far our most complete player (followed by RoJo) and he was MIA for that one.
  16. Josh is a waaaay better defender than Devonte at this point.
  17. OG's health is the word?
  18. Ooh...a riddle!!! To raise the academic standards and graduation rates for SEC schools?
  19. Stuhoo and young Jamiehoo have airplane tickets and IU Nebraska game tickets. We shall be live watching a basketball win and Jumbotroning a bowl game!!
  20. Supposedly, Brohm is Wilson-esque on offense, but not nearly as big a butthole on a personal level.
