Taylor nailed 7 of 8 free throws in the final 44.2 seconds to power Fort Lauderdale. Taylor led the Flying L's with 26 points and Indiana signee Keyanna Warthen added 16. Fort Lauderdale improves to 7-2. Its only losses are to Nova and Boca Raton. 

Fort Lauderdale plays 6-1 Sidwell tonight @ 7:15 in the 2nd game of the Kruel Classic.

With her Big 3 was well-oiled as senior guards Keyanna Warthen, TaMiracle Taylor and Melanie De Oleo dominated in the Flying L's 66-31 win over a tough Miami Central team at Miami High.

Warthen, an Indiana signee and the reigning Broward Player of the Year, had 18 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and six steals.

Warthen led Fort Lauderdale with 22 points in the win over IMG Academy.

Fort Lauderdale posted its 19th consecutive victory and ran its record to 20-2 with a 65-39 Big 8 semifinal victory at South Plantation High School. Warthen, an Indiana signee, added 21 points for Fort Lauderdale. 

Fort Lauderdale will play South Broward (20-3) on Saturday at 7 p.m. for the Big 8 championship.

The regional final rematch is set for two of Broward's best girls basketball teams: Fort Lauderdale and South Broward.

Keyanna Warthen scored 28 points Tuesday night as the Flying L's defeated Palm Beach Lakes 68-54 in a Region 4-8A semifinal to earn a rematch Friday against the team that eliminated them from last year's postseason.

Fort Lauderdale (24-3) will visit the Bulldogs (26-3) at 7 p.m. Friday. South Broward topped the Flying L's 60-56 in the BCAA Big 8 championship on Jan. 28 in the two teams' only other meeting this season.
