This year for Yogi, what will it change?

Recommended Posts

I thought Yogi would be more of a facilitator than he's turned out to be.He has a score first mentality and the over dribbling gets him in trouble.I really think RoJo could end up being a better point in the long run.He has good court vision and speed and seems to play more under control.
Please don't take this as Yogi Bashing because I love the kid, just think he should cool the jets every now and then.

I'm really hoping this will shift as the season progresses and the younger guys get more comfortable.

You are right about the youth.May be Yogi isn't in tune with them yet

.Also Stan and troy will help with the cuts to the basket.Just saw a lot of one on one dribbling last night and it brought back some bad memories.

Agreed. Yogi has always been in love with his own ball handling. With the shooters we have this year, and the ability of RoJo to handle the point, I’d like to see Yogi play a bit more of the 2 guard. Shoot the shots that he’s given, drive, dish, and do whatever it takes to win. Yogi is a talent, and he can/should be the leader. But it might take a few more games to get the pieces to mesh together.

I agree. Probably going to an all around comfort level adjustment. Yogi learning he doesn't have to create as much as last year and the younger guys really demanding and creating for themselves. I want to see more off ball movement and screens in general. Liked the screens I saw from HMP last night.

I'm all about yogi being our 2 guard with Rojo running the point. Our offense is so fluid we don't need a straight up point. Yogi has to be one of the top 5 quickest cats in bball and has to be a nightmare to guard. Let him run buck wild off the ball.
