I've always liked Hanner and have always wanted him to become a solid, contributing role player. 

 

Hopefully its this year! It sounds like he has been working really hard this offseason but we won't know for sure until we're a couple games into the season.

 

I think HMP AND DD are keys to having a successful season. If they can hold the post down and get some boards our incredible backcourt should be able to do the rest.

Kind of a bland article. Good post though love hearing from these guys. I think he is the biggest key to this team this year as far as big guys go. But also a huge key for the whole team, he's gonna be relied on hard, gotta lead the way for younger guys. I hope he has improved with his fundamentals, he seemed to always drop the ball, fudge up passes, and at times seemed a little lost on the court, not to bring up his dui but when folks get in trouble it's sometimes hard to focus on other things. I want to believe he's put all that behind him and focused on the task at hand, I've got high hopes for hanner. This season can't start soon enough!

I think HMP is the key to the season.  If he is great, we could have a pretty nice team.  If he is decent, we could be a good team.  If he is awful, we could be awful.  I just can't remember a time when it seemed like one player had so much riding on him heading into a season.  I hope the big fella is ready.

Gotcha! Ya I agree and I didn't wanna repeat myself from other threads but your are correct if he is in sync and our shooters are making shots we will be a team to be reckoned with. But I can just see how awful we are if hanner is not rebounding the ball and not being physical it could get ugly even if our shooters are on. We need him for rebounds, blocks more than feeding the post because of the talent we have on the outside. Although I do remember when we had zeller to feed to and seemed like we never did, I just don't see coach trying to get hanner the ball.
