Yeah we've had 3rd and 16+ three times and given up the first on all of them...

Just saying though, playing 10 yards off the receivers probably has something to do with it

Only on two of them. One was a 3rd and 17 that they picked up with option. I was flashbacking to Navy last year as he picked up the first.

To the tune of 17 yards? Methinks if that were a reasonable expectation when DB's play back then the option would be a lot more popular than it is.

Well yeah... It's been a combo of both missed tackles and not being in position tho. On the pass plays there's seemed to be no one there to make the stop

Eventually you get used to it. Not everyone approves of my masochistic fanhood when it comes to this stuff, but it makes it a lot less painful to endure.
