I so wanted tickets to that.

Hoosiers leading 17-3 in the 3rd inning vs. Pitt.  I just tuned in to watch us score a run due to interference from the Pitt 3rd baseman followed by 3 consecutive HBP with the bases loaded to score 3 more runs followed by consecutive bases loaded walks.   Then another HBP scores our 17th run before a fly ball ends the inning.

Hoosiers scored 14 runs in the inning on just 5 hits.  Heather Johnson on the mound.

What a way to start the season.  Hoosiers win both games and in game #2, Bri Copeland pitched a no-hitter striking out 10.   Hoosiers beat Prairie View A & M 5-1, PVAM's lone run came in the 6th on a Copeland throwing error.  First IU no-hitter since 2021.

Hoosiers play 2 again tomorrow.  Auburn at 1:30 and Howard scheduled to start at 4:00.

Great way to start the season winning today's game 5-1 and going 3-1 on the weekend.

Montgomery relieved Copeland in the bottom of the 5th with 2 out and runners on 2nd and 3rd.  Walked the first batter she faced but then a ground out to short to end the inning.   Copeland allowed 1 run on 6 hits and 1 walk; strukout 4 but did have 3 WP.

Top of the 6th, we scored 4 runs, 2 of them on a Benson homer.  2 consecutive sac flies scored 2 more.

Heather Johnson took over the mound for Montgomery in the 6th with IU leading 4-1.  We scored another run in the 7th on a Benson single and that's how the game ended with a 5-1 Hoosier win.

Women will be back in Clearwater next weekend for the ESPN Clearwater Invitational.

They did not get a good schedule last weekend. Played a lot of good teams.

Hoosiers take this morning's game 6-4 over Delaware and will play UNCG at 4:00 later today.

We scored our 6 runs on just 6 hits and left 9 on base.  We benefited from 7 Delaware walks.

Montgomery, Copeland and Johnson all saw mound duty with Copeland getting the W and Johnson the save.   Collectively they allowed 6 hits and walked 7.

Hoosiers defeat Wisconsin - Green Bay 3-0.  Copeland a solo HR and a run scoring triple were the big hits for our Hoosiers who got 6 hits off GB pitching.  Montgomery started for IU and pitched 5 shutout innings allowing just 3 hits and 3 BB.  Copeland took over in the 6th and preserved the shutout allowing just 1 hit in her 2 innings.
