Uh, I thought you were working from home today?   lol     Your neighborhood high and dry?

Luckily, we're pretty safe here, it's just the crossing into/out of Columbus that was a little tricky (and, the zero visibility was a nice touch as well lol).

IU with the series sweep winning today's second game 6-3.  Copeland went the distance giving up just 3 hits but she did walk 8 and this comes after walking 11 in last night's game.  We had 9 hits led by Minnick and VanBrandt with 2 each.  Minnick had 3 RBI and Copeland 2.  After today's sweep our season record is 26-10 and our conference record 6-5.

We're scheduled to host Louisville on Wednesday at 6:00 and next weekend we're on the road to face Wisky.

Louisville scored 2 in the 1st but it was all IU after that as the Hoosiers get an 8-3 win.  Highlight was Brie Copeland's record breaking 41st IU career home run in the 3rd inning.  She also pitched a complete game giving up just 3 hits and walking 5.  We had 12 hits led by Parker, VanBrandt, Strader and Cooper with 2 each.

This weekend we're in Madison, WI.

Couple of records have been broken.  Taylor Minnick became the IU career RBI leader last weekend and was presented with a golden bat.

Women lose the weekend opener 6-5.  Wisky scored 3 in the 1st inning off Copeland. Added another run in the 2nd and 2 more in the 6th off Berry.  We scored 2 in the the and 2 more in the 7th to make it close but it was too little to late.  We had 10 hits with Mitchell, Strader & Cooper each with 2.  Copeland with a 2-run HR in the 7th was our game RBI leader.

Hoosiers played their version of Home Run Derby banging out 4 of them on their way to a 14-1 rout.  Minnick, Parker, VanBrandt & Wilkison with the big bats and that foursome accounted for 12 of our 14 runs.  VanBrandt had 5 and Parker had 4 RBIs.  Copeland and Reyes split mound duties in the run-shortened game and together allowed just 1 run on 6 hits and 5 BB.  Hoosiers go for the series win tomorrow at 1:00.

Should have saved a couple of those Saturday HRs for today.  Hoosiers lose the series finale 10-5 moving our season record to (28-12) (7-7).   Berry started but in 2 innings gave up 4 runs on 2 hits (1 a 2-run HR) and walked 2.  Copeland entered and in 1.1 innings allowed just 2 hits but another 6 Wisky runs courtesy of a grand slam HR.  Reyes took over and held Wisky scoreless over the final 2.2 innings.   We outhit Wisky 11-6 but couldn't put the hits together to score runs.

Next weekend it's a 2-game series at Nebraska.
