JSHoosier Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Rhetorical question: Does MLB have an unwritten rule that any Sunday game between the Red Sox and Yankees is automatically televised by ESPN? It's nice to know that about 10 Sunday night games this season will be pumping a rivalry that really isn't as big as it used to be. It's ESPN, a Red Sox/Yankees game turns into 3 hours of them slobbering all over Big Roidi and Mighty Midget Dustin Pedroia. Them honoring Mariano Rivera turned into them celebrating all thing Sawx with Rivera standing there. Quote

JSHoosier Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 No, its NESPN. The New England Sports Network. :D True. Everything else I said is true though. It's either "OMG lovable, clutch, Hall of Famer, derp" for Big Roidi and he is NOT a Hall of Famer if Edgar Martinez and Tim Raines aren't. Or it's "OMG gritty, heart, determination, best 2B in baseball, derpy derp" for Mighty Midget when the best 2B in baseball is in Seattle now. I shudder to think about how they'll "honor" Jeter, 100% chance it's more Red Sox ball washing like it was with their "Boston/NESPN honoring the Red Sox with a guest appearance by Mariano Rivera". Their bias is ridiculous. Naturalhoosier 1 Quote
Naturalhoosier Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 The Astros are now 5-8. Of those 8 losses, they scored 2 or fewer runs in 7 of them. :( Including two 0-1 losses to the Rangers this past series. Quote
JSHoosier Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 NESPN isn't even making an attempt to be objective. Quote

JSHoosier Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 The Cubs have to face Tanaka and Pineda both today in a double header. Man, if I wasn't a Yankees fan I'd feel sorry for them and I almost still do. Quote
JSHoosier Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Tanaka is DOMINATING right now. He's pretty much dominated each game he's started. He's set the record for most Ks in the first three starts. Quote

I don't think anyone expected him to perform like this either, all I ever read was that his ceiling is a #2 starter. His fastball is flat and hitters swing, but his splitter looks like the fastball until it's too late and it leads to some silly swings. I don't think he has the stuff Darvish does, but he's got good command and knows how to pitch. Pretty imposing in his own right. djsalway 1 Quote

Scooter D Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Please...for the love of the game...stop with the instant replay/umpire review. It is killing the game. I can't for the life of me understand the fascination with it. Over 162 games, it all evens out anyway. Beside, other than that crap in-field fly rule call a few years back in the Braves-Cards wild card game and the almost perfect game by that Tigers pitcher a few years back, most of the missed calls are forgotten. Do the fans a solid and get rid of it. Naturalhoosier 1 Quote
