Greener pastures....

Recommended Posts

I think Stanford Robinson would be the most likely. He has so much attitude when he plays. I could see him going off and then turning to the crowd to make sure that they knew. I could also see him getting under the skin of players.

Speaking of Purdue and greener pastures, the Boilermakers only have 5 scholarship players returning next year. I am not aware of their recruiting class coming in or if they are bringing any talent. All I know is that the three top players in the state are NOT going to Purdue. Could next year be a really, really bad year for Purdue?

I am excited that we might have a formidable backcourt, one that can handle the ball, drive and shoot well. I really hope Yogis role on the team changes a little next year, from primary scorer to point guard. A possible starting lineup looks to be:

Yogi
Blackmon
Williams
Hollowell
Lee

With some serious focus and work in the offseason, Troy and Hollowell could come back as ballers. Lee is going to be a consistent and solid rebounder and post scorer for this team and I think we can be fairly sure Yogi and Blackmon are going to produce big time. Stan and Johnson give us great guard depth.

If anyone wants to talk about a hot seat, look no further than Matt Painter. Look about how much we gripe and complain, and Purdue has kept that guy around three straight bad seasons.

Not too surprised he is still around.  After all, it is Purdue.  Apathy and lowered expectations are the rule there.
