Indiana Pacers 2.0

Recommended Posts
Probably JO's final game in Indiana tonight. Everything I have read says that he is going to retire following the conclusion of the Warriors season this year. One of my favorite Pacers players of all time
Gonna be there tonight!

Wish Turner would save his horrible games for the bad teams we play. I have little faith in the guy defensively, and offensively if he isn't in a rhythm he isn't giving us anything

Just awful clock management in that final minute. Pretty fitting that Paul George tosses up a brick on the Pacers' last real possession.

8/23. Can't believe anyone seriously thought he was an MVP candidate.

He was one at the beginning of the season. If he would've sustained what he was doing, he would be a close 3rd behind KD and Lebron.

He was shooting around 50%, he played/s better defense than LeBron and Durant. So yeah, he was a conceivable MVP candidate at the beginning of the season, don't rewrite what was going on.

The Pacers look broken to me.

PG -  tries to do too much at times IMO

Roy - I am sick to death of seeing him try to lay the ball in when he is in the paint and seeing him get stripped by smaller players.  You are 7'2" play like it.

Lance - is a loose cannon.  When he plays well it looks great and is fun to watch.  When he does not play well his style kills us.

At times I think they look bored with the regular season.  They had better get their heads straight or they are going to end up the two seed again.  I thought they looked like a championship team earlier.  Now I doubt we can beat Miami in the ECF.

I guess following B'twon Banners logic I should blame all of this on Vogle and start questioning him.

PG and West are the only consistent players right now. Roy needs to wake up and the bench needs to step up. Our starters out scored the heats starters the last 2 years we have faced them in the playoffs. We lost those series because our bench could not keep up with theirs. Turner laid a huge egg last night and Scola doesn't move when he is in the game. With that said we are still 46-14 and I'm not all that worried yet. Wait till the last 10-12 games go to make a judgement on them because that's when they will really start to turn it on.

You should have been on Pacers Digest early last season when Granger was out. Half the posters there wanted Vogel fired.

It's March Madness time. What comes with March Madness? Blind resumés. In that case, here is a blind resumé for the NBA MVP race:

Player A: 26.6 PPG 13.2 RPG 4.1 APG 50 Double Doubles, 1 Triple Double.

Player B: 27.4 PPG 6.9 RPG 6.4 APG
10 Double Doubles, 0 Triple Doubles.

Player C: 24.0 PPG 4.5 RPG 8.8 APG
21 Double Doubles, 3 Triple Doubles.

Player D: 31.7 PPG 7.7 RPG 5.5 APG
21 Double Doubles, 2 Triple Doubles.

Based on just this, who wins it?

Eh, I'll be concerned if they play like that during the playoffs. They were playing like shit to end the season last season then were perfectly fine with the playoffs. People are overrating the regular season a lot

With Roy he has never been a good offensive player. His best asset is the fact that he is 7'2", I'm more sick and tired with the staff continuing to go to Roy when it is clear he isn't going to do anything right offensively. After all this time he still doesn't have a consistent hook shot which is just beyond baffling, the dude is 7'2" if he had that he'd be nearly unguardable. But for whatever reason he doesn't

Bye bye number 1 seed, was nice knowing you. But apparently West is the only one who actually cares about it.

Just once I wish Vogel would rip into them when they come out and play horribly like this. But nope he just going to continue to do his Mr. Nice guy crap

Go ahead and put the bench in, none of the starters are competing at all. If they don't want to compete they don't deserve to be playing

Why compete when you are an elite team?  Teams should roll over for you and if they don't gripe to the officials all game long.

I'm done with Roy. Outside of one or two games he has been pretty awful for about a month now. As far as I'm concerned whenever Bynum gets healthy go ahead and start Ian and have Bynum back him up. Maybe that will motivate Roy
