Biggest Loss from Last season

Yes. That was one unhappy momma. Do you mean you'll think he would leave after this year?Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I think he would if he so called experts felt he could go in round 1. I don't think he there yet, but I think his ability is close to Trey Burke from last year. I think he would be gone if he projected high enough. Keeping this in mind, Noah is gone. How much more can he develop getting three shots a game? Just embarrassing.

I think Noah is gone too. Developmentally, he would do better in college in my mind. I know everyone has differing views on that. Even if Yogi was a projected 1st rounder this year I think it would be a bad idea for him to leave. If next year is weak, he could go though.

If you follow him on Instagram/Twitter then he's usually doing everything but practicing when he didn't have to. One of the biggest factors about the value of Oladipo was his work ethic and I don't think Williams is close to it.

Eh, saying he isn't close to Vic's work ethic because of stuff he says on Instagram/Twitter doesn't seem entirely fair. I'm not saying he is at Vic's level with the work ethic, but to say he isn't close seems to be a stretch, by all accounts Troy has a great work ethic. Some would say excellent.

Really? I've never seen Ferrell as an NBA player. I haven't heard any reports of him being on a draft board. A great college player, and will likely finish among top 10 of IU scorers after four years, but a little small for NBA level.

Eh. I think size will be a detriment to the guy in the NBA, but I don't think it will be as big a detriment as it is sometimes made out to be. I think he'll have to stay for another year past this year, probably 2 more in my opinion. He has great speed, and is good with his lateral movement. Offensively again he has the speed to get past guys in the NBA, and he has improved his shooting, specifically from 3 where there has been a monumental jump in percentage his is making.

Obviously there are some negatives, his assist numbers leave a lot to be desired. There is an argument that could be made for this year being surrounded by less than great talent/shooters hurting his numbers. But given his assist numbers weren't great last season this raises a bit of the flag. The other stuff unfortunately is not his control, his size and lack of a wingspan are always going to be detriments at the next level. But there are ways he can work on his game to counteract them. And even if these persist for his entire career there have been guys who have carved out careers in the NBA with only one discernible skill that would be considered good by NBA standards. Yogi has the potential to have more than one skill that would rate as good, possibly better than good, by NBA standards. Could see him as a first round pick if he improves his efficiency enough

My view on all of these great players we have had the last few years is how good a coach do you really need to be to win the NCAA championship? Not very good in my opinion. Just roll out the ball and get out of the way. If Yogi would go in the first round, Crean will have coached 4 first round picks in two years and six 1000 point scorers. Hell, Jerry Tarkanian did a lot more with less talent than this and he was considered a very poor coach. What does this really say about Crean. If he would just get out of the way on the sideline, play your best players without frantically subbing, and make one decent play call per game he could be very successful. I guess it just goes to show that the having the best players still needs a decent in game coach and Crean fails miserably. Exhibit A last night.
