Any NHL fans up in here?

Recommended Posts

I took my four year old son to his first NHL game tonight and he loved it.  He kept his eyes on the puck the majority of the game, he was asking questions as the game went on.  It was fun watching him take it all in.  I thoroughly enjoy watching hockey, I just wish it was more mainstream (thanks for nothing ESPN).  We don't go to games that often (my first game in 3-4 yrs) just because they are so expensive.  To sit in the lower bowl of the Pepsi Center for an Av's game expect to pay a face value from $90-$150.  That's outrageous IMO.  That's worse than baseball.

I'm a Sharks fan from their inception.  Anyone else hockey fans?!

Lol right?!?! He enjoyed himself for sure.

There were a couple of annoying drunk Islander fans that needed an ass kickin about 3 sections over.

I think the Isles broadcast showed them barking at people after the game was over, haha.

Since most teams in the NHL don't get a lot of TV monies(local and NBC/CBC), ticket sales are by far their biggest source of revenue. If you and your son want to see more games, your best bet is trying to get a 6-8 game plan where the price will likely be 2/3 of the price per game a single game ticket will run you.
