I'm on a big bluegrass kick recently because my buddy got me into this musician Billy Strings, I had never heard of. Perfect name for an awesome guitarist.

Dude is absurdly talented. If you’re on that kick check him out playing with Chris Thiele. Breathtaking playing by 2 guys who make it look like they’re barely even trying and anyone could do it.

Happy birthday to the great, great Thurston Moore. Just 40 years of making searing music. Sonic Youth. Great solo catalog. A million oddball collabs. Just straight up an artist.
Side note: Also part of one of my favorite weird little things in music. He collaborated on a version of The Ramones’ “Sheena is a Punk Rocker” that to me is better than the original because it’s a real live smokin’ punk song. But the thing is, it’s not actually a song. It’s like 90 secs of a song done for some tv show and never released as the whole thing. But it’s a killer.
