First Look: Washington Huskies

Recommended Posts

They lost Jernard Jarreau for the season. He didn't do a lot for them last season, but from what I read they were expecting him to produce for them this year. He would have  given them a big body at 6'10" 220 lbs., if nothing else.

From this it looks like they somewhat struggle with defense in the paint which could help with Vonleh. They also looked like they struggled when they were playing defense on fast breaks which goes in our favor. I hope our perimeter defense will shut them down though.

They are a guard dominated team in scoring. If we contain the guards we will win the game. I would attack the guards off the dribble, if either starter gets in foul trouble they won't be able to hang with us. Between attacking the guards and pounding the paint, I like our chances. They have no answer for NV and don't have the athletes at the 3 and 4 to hang with us. I hope they push the pace and make it a track meet, our depth will wear them out.

I'll admit I was a little worried about the young Hoosiers traveling to the big city and playing our first road game... But after watching those highlights, I think Washington and what they try to do falls perfectly into our strengths as a team.  If they run and gun vs us... Hello Championship game on Friday!

All I can see is an extremely weak team that can shoot the 3. They've no interior defense, and very little on the perimeter. They're not much of a slashing team, hence the reason for all those threes. We ought to win by 20 or more, and that's if we're shooting cold.

They're shooting about 25% from 3 on the year.  They shoot a lot, but that doesn't mean they shoot it well.

Now, it's early in the year so it's a small sample size but so far that's pathetic.

Well it's always just our luck they'll go off for 15-17 threes. Just ask no name dude from Wisconsin...

A random scrub that probably wasn't even on the scouting report.

Rob Wilson, Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson, Wilson from Castaway, I can't remember but I still get chills from him turning into MJ.

looks like they can shoot ok from the 3 but like GOAT said the are 25% from the arc. I just hope our defense tightens up around the perimiter, im not too worried about them down low, hopefully noah will record his 5??? double double lol i forget if it would be 4th or fifth. I like IU by 15

They're % might not be that great from behind the arc, but when has that ever stopped a team from shooting lights out against  us?  Not to be the negative one here, but I have watched way too many guys have career days behind the arc against the old Cream and Crimson.
