Indiana Pacers 2013-2014
Playing at Atlanta tonight, which has been a house of freaking nightmares for the Pacers recently in the regular season. Hopefully we can find a way to win there tonight
Plus, we're pretty bad in the tail end of a back-to-back.

Yeah. The only good thing is other than Lance last night none of the regulars played extreme minutes.

Even at that, I wish when the Pacers were up by 22 with just over 6:00 to play that Vogle would have gone ahead and put Copeland, Sloan, and Butler in.  Steal some minutes where you can.

Also, I don't know how bad Ian hurt his shoulder, but when he grabbed it my first thought was, thank God we signed Bynum.

Is he playing tonight? Or were you just saying whenever he gets here?

When he gets here. He won't play for a couple weeks but should arrive in Indy sometime this week.

Reports are that Bynum won't be playing until after the All-Star break. Heard Agness say that he is going to be on the bench tonight, but that was at the end of last week. Don't know if that still holds true, or if that has changed

Pacers have pretty much dominated the 2nd half. Lance got hurt earlier in the game, but they didn't make it sound too serious. Hopefully we can close this one out.

Expand[/background]
My first two thoughts: Evan Turner or Gordon Heyward. May be lofty, but 2 guys that can sink the ball with expiring contracts. Both teams would probably want draft picks though. Edit: Add Aaron Afflalo and Ersan Ilyasova to that.

I think Turner would be the most likely off the bunch. Reportedly he isn't seen as a long term option for them, but all of them would take a future first round pick to get. And anyone that we get I am assuming is basically going to be a one year rental. I could realistically see us putting Copeland or maybe Mahimi in a deal with a future first to get a vet who can back up Lance right now. This would help us to limit Lance's minutes the rest of the year, give us another vet to give us good minutes off the bench, and make life easier to resign Lance in the off-season

Agreed. Limiting Lance's minutes would be huge because he plays too hard for his own good.

No way the Jazz trade Hayward, I think he is gonna get resigned, Evan Turner makes the most sense. Afflalo is too expensive. I hope to god we don't look at Dion Waiters either.

I am sick to death of these slow starts for the Pacers.  I know Lance is out tonight, but still, it's a problem almost every single game.  It actually drives me crazier this year than anything so far with IU.

Also, I love Roy, but sometimes he looks down right average.
