Need way more than that. Not even in next four out by Charlie Creme. Have to at least get to UCLA Saturday and play them close and that still may not be enough. Oregon was first win over NCAA Tourney squad and Nebraska is only second if IU didn't knock them out with win today. Still a long way to go and simply beating OSU tomorrow won't be quite enough. 6-12 conference record is anchor around neck. Quote

TTT Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Oregon win vs Maryland. Yarden Garzon 3 points on 1 for 11 shooting…good for her. Though having a couple good games this season….Yarden is statistically slightly down in almost all categories this season. She did raise her ft% 5% points. She did not take any kind of jump. Rather, as predicted took a slight step backwards. T. Moren projected her to complete her career on a star status level at IU. LamarCheeks 1 Quote

I cant blame her for wanting to be on a team that has depth and could go deep in the NCAA Tournament for her final go. She would have helped IU win 1-2 more games maybe but it still would have been sweating the bubble and she wanted better. Yarden’s game is essentially what Makalusky became later in yr once she developed. If Yarden had taken that spot all yr, it would have sacrificed Maya’s growth that has us so optimistic for the future. Having Makalusky play that role this yr probably sacrificed a couple wins this yr for better tomorrow. Definitely wished we had Yarden in many ways. However, in end I think it worked out best for both her and IU. Class of '66 Old Fart and Stuhoo 2 Quote

I am very happy that we played those freshmen, because they both appear to be completely worth the early investment in their futures at IU. Quote

Plus if talent level is going to be elevated it’s going to be similar situations for playing time whether shared or a player is a lot better enough to warrant more of the playing time. Or continue to play in the bottom half of big ten. Quote
TTT Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago And T. Moren has acknowledged getting transfer portal help. She knows they need more than what is currently there and currently coming for 2026-2027. Thinking that could be why she went with a very short bench. With losing Shay….Those who think IU Ladies are going to get past mid big ten with just what is to make up current 2026-2027 big ten roster are simply, wrong. Quote
