ESPN lists her as 6'1" but there's just not a lot out there about this young lady.  She did participate in the 2025 USA Women’s U16 National Team trials in Colorado Springs, CO, and she attended the 2025 Women's Junior National Team April minicamp in Tampa.  She plays AAU on the EYBL circuit for the 17U AL Southern Starz and those stats are below.  As a 7th grader, she was a member of the Mars Hill varsity that won the Alabama 2A state championship.  She had 27 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and a block in the state championship game!!

Just a '28 and a long way to go in this recruitment but pretty impressive outing yesterday as Mars Hill defeated Our Lady Academy 76-51.  Belle finished with 45p,  16r,  11s

Those are some crazy stats

First game I've watched her play and hard to really make any judgment based on the quality of the opponent.  Final score was 50-23 and Belle and the starters sat out the entire 4th Q.  Game was already well into the 1st Q before NFHS picked up the stream.  NFHS is wonderful because of the number of high school games you can watch but their scoreboard and clock graphics are pathetic.  Neither one worked at all for this game.  Stats I did record for her:  22p  5r,  3a,  3s,  2b,  2t.  She was 10-11 FTs.

She's a soph listed at 6'1" and serves as the teams PG and primary ball handler.  Most of her baskets are made at the rim.  She was 0-4 on 3s.  Seems pretty agile and made spin moves both to her right and left and showed she can dribble with either hand.  She stole the ball inside the foul line and raced down the court for the layup and no one on the other team caught up with her.

MaxPrep for 13 gms:  33p,  11r,  3.5a,  3.7s,  1.8b       Her shooting % on MaxPrep is clearly inaccurate.

Mars Hill (17-3) 57-38 over Madison Academy (10-9).  Listed now at 6'1" on MaxPreps.  Very good ballhandler and she is the one that brings the ball up the court in every instance unless they have a breakaway.  Right hand dominant but can dribble with either hand.  However, every drive down the lane was on the right side and only once did she make a spin move to her left.  Also jumps for rebounds and doesn't just reach for them.    18p;  12r,  6a,  2s,  6b,  2t.  She drew 6 fouls.

Mars Hill (19-3) 78-49 over Phil Campbell (13-13).    29p,  5r,  9a,  6s,  1b,  1t  played less than 22 min.   Listed at 6'1" and is team's primary ballhandler and can handle the ball with either hand.  Very mobile and made the effort to let others score when she could just as easily have taken the shot herself.

I mentioned talent disparity in Sydney Savoury's thread.  Some scores of previous Mars Hill games:

  • 78-17 over Sheffield
  • 67-24 over Colbert Heights
  • 68-21 over Phil Campbell (December game)
  • 71-29 over Sulligent

Rematch with Madison Academy (see Jan. 17 post).  The NFHS scoreboard did not work so no idea at this point what the final score was, but Hill put on quite a performance:  40p,  11r,  2a,  1s,  5b,  2t.      12-20 FG,  2-4 on 3s,  14-16 FT.  She drew 10 fouls.  In this game she did make spin moves to her left and demonstrated a nifty little step back jump shot.  Drives to the rim were all on the right side.

Her season averages on MaxPreps:  30.8p,  11.6r,  5.2a,  4.5s,  3.4b,  1.3t

Last night, #2 ranked 3A Mars Hill (21-3) defeated 6A Austin 82-54.  Hill lit it up with 51 points on 16-26 FG, 6-8 on 3s and 13-13 FT.  She added 8 reb, 1a, 1s, 0b, 3t.  She drew 9 fouls.  She played all but 2 minutes and had to be exhausted.  She's the teams primary ballhandler and unless it's a breakaway on a rebound, she brings the ball up court on every possession and was still playing late in the 4th Q with a 25+ point lead.  MaxPreps doesn't have good stats for what her season shooting percentages are but her 3s last night were made off a combination of catch and shoot as well as creating her own shot off the dribble.  A big unknown IMO is can she play defense.  At 6'1", she's the tallest girl on the team and clearly indispensable as their ballhandler.  I'm speculating it's by design, but she rarely attempts to block shots or take charges and she's not overly aggressive in rebounding which all helps keep her out of foul trouble.

This young lady is like the Energizer Bunny on the court.  She plays nearly the entire game and is constantly on the move.  As I've said previously, unless it's a fast break off a rebound, she is the only player on the team who brings the ball up court on every possession.  She can handle the ball with her left hand in open court but any drive to the basket will be on the right side of the lane.  She has a nice step back and in the most recent game I watched she pulled off a Euro step.  She's fun to watch because she's so active and never shows any emotion or reaction to officiating.  In her last 2 games, she's scored 39 and 40 points respectively while grabbing 12 and 10 rebounds.  For 27 games per MaxPreps:  31.9p,  11.0r,  4.2a,  3.5s,  2.3b.  Her shooting % aren't available as the school only reports number of baskets made and not number of attempts.

Belle's season came to an end tonight in a 3A semifinal game with a 76-56 loss to St. James.  She was double and triple teamed all night long and still scored 36 of her team's 56 points.  She drew 15 fouls and was 15-18 from the charity stripe.  She grabbed 14 rebounds.  While Belle was the best player in the game, St. James had the best team and their quickness forced way too many turnovers from Belle's teammates.

For the season:  32.4p,  11.5r,  4.2a,  4.1s,  2.8b,  2.2t          Her school only reported number of shots made so shooting percentages are not available.
