I was listening to a podcast with the one and only Tom Crean. Crean made a strong point about what he looks for in a player that will help with winning:

Tom Crean says that the way a player speaks and conducts himself when he’s in public is notable. He looks for a kid that speaks confidently but doesn’t act scripted or conceited.

So here’s something I like about this team: They’re not just talented; it seems to me that we have a ton of players that exactly fit that best case scenario personality profile: Oumar Ballo, Myles Rice, Anthony Leal, Luke Goode, Bryson Tucker, Trey Galloway.  All of those guys really impress me with leadership characteristics every time I hear them interviewed. That’s probably more than I’ve heard from an IU squad since … I don’t know how long.
