Hoosiers win the opener 7-3 over Bowling Green.

Interesting opener for our Hoosiers.  At one point we led 4-1 and only had 1 hit, a Minnick solo HR  plus runs scored on 2 WP and a BG error.  For the game we only had 3 hits and all for extra bases.  Minnick's solo HR, Bassett 2-run inside the park HR and a double from Benson.

Kleiman started and went 3.2 innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits; walked 1; struck out 3.  Montgomery came on in relief and gave up a run on 2 hits.

We'll play 2 on Saturday.

Hoosiers win re-match with Bowling Green with a 6-inning run-shortened 8-0 win.  Copeland pitched a 2-hit shutout, walked 2, struck out 11.  We scored 3 in the 2nd and 5 more in the 6th.  We had 7 hits that included a solo HR from Parker and a 2-run shot by Benson both in the 6th.  Benson the only IU batter with 2 hits and she had 3 RBI.  BG committed 3 errors which also put IU runs on the board. 

At 3:00 were scheduled to play Valpo.

Another Hoosier win 8-6 over Valpo but it was tied 6-6 after 5 and it took 2 Hoosier runs in the 6th to seal the win coming off a Copeland double and a Minnick single.  We had 11 hits; 3 from Parker and 2 from Minnick.  Minnick had 3 RBI and Benson 2.  We used 4 pitchers who collectively allowed 9 hits; 2 BB and struck out 11.  We'll play Valpo again tomorrow at 1:30.

In yesterday morning's game vs Bowling Green, Copeland's 11 strikeouts were a new career high.

Hoosiers sweep their own classic beating Valpo 10-0 in a 5-inning run shortened game.  Copeland started and pitched 4 innings of 2-hit ball; walked 3; struck out 6.  Kleiman finished the final inning setting Valpo down in order.  We had 8 hits.  Parker had 3 of them and 4 RBI that featured a 3-run HR.  Bassett also with a 3-run HR and Thompson also a 3-run HR,\.

Tuesday evening at 5:00 we host Western KY.  Next weekend it's the Indiana Invite.  On Friday we'll play Oakland.  On Saturday we'll play Dayton and IUPUI.  On Sunday, Howard and Oakland.
