Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 24, 2022 Author Posted April 24, 2022 Travis Branham - The final day of the second live period already into the 2nd game and Indiana commit Gabe Cupps brought it for the 8:00 AM game. Such a competitor with great feel and IQ and got to show off his shot-making off the dribble. Really like what he will bring to the Hoosier program. Travis Branham - 2025 Prospect Watch: Caleb Wilson He has already begun generating some buzz down south but Caleb Wilson, a 6-foot-8 power forward out of Atlanta is a prospect to keep a close eye on over the next two years. He has good size, length and athleticism all-the-while still being physically immature compared to others in his class. His leg strength, athleticism and potentially even his size are far from hitting their peak but he showed ample flashes of talent and skill to keep you coming back for more. Wilson can stretch the floor with a jumper, he has a foundation of ball skills to build on, he rebounds and has high upside as a defender as he gets more athletic and stronger. There is a lot to like about Wilson as a long-term prospect and Indiana, Georgia, Xavier and others have already taken notice of the Anthony Edwards Basketball prospect. Travis Branham - Flory Bidunga was deserving of the buzz Coming off the first evaluation period, buzz was in the air of a 2024 big man named Flory Bidunga playing for Indiana Elite 16s. The 6-foot-9, 215-pound center out of Kokomo (Ind.) is honestly an Adem Bona 2.0 - a five-star big man in the 2022 class who is headed to UCLA. He's long, wiry, athletic and plays with a high motor and a lot of energy. He blocks shots, runs the floor with the best of them, dunks with explosiveness and authority and has high upside as a defender. He is currently unranked int he 2024 class but that won't be the case for long as he is looking to be one of the better big men in the class. Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 24, 2022 Author Posted April 24, 2022 Jamie Shaw on this morning's Compton Magic vs Elite 6 game. Coach Watch: Danny Hurley (UConn), Mike Schwartz (East Carolina), Mark Adams (Texas Tech), with assistants from Miami, Kansas, Kentucky, Purdue, Indiana, Oregon, Saint Mary’s, Clemson, New Mexico, etc. We walked out of the gym on day two with Compton Magic’s 2023 On3 Consensus No. 97 Andrej Stojakovic receiving an offer from Kentucky. Naturally the matchup with him and 2023 On3 Consensus No. 33 Elijah Fisher. Fisher is a strong-framed wing out of Toronto, Canada. He has confident ball skills in the half-court and is explosive at the rim. He rebounded the ball at a high rate in this one. The crowd also lost its mind early in the second half as Fisher had one of the dunks of the summer to this point (see below). He was the best player on the floor for this game, finished with 32 points. Stojakovic is a skilled guard. His handle has improved and he is confident as a secondary guy, getting his team into sets. Naturally, the jump shot on Stojakovic is his calling card, but you can see him getting into the mid-range off one and two dribbles. He finished with 14 points, going four of seven from three. Koa Peat is a big name, trending toward the top of his class. His brother was a first-round draft pick, an offensive lineman, out of Stanford. Still a 2025, major college programs are prioritizing the skilled wing. Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 24, 2022 Author Posted April 24, 2022 Dushawn London on the UAA event. Class of 2024 PF - Derik Queen Currently ranked top 10 in the class of 2024, five star big man Derik Queen had a very impressive weekend scoring the ball for Team Thrill. Queen who is 6-foot-9, uses his body very well, is a strong finisher around the rim along with his foot work and IQ to make the right pass out of the post. Queen’s strength and decision making also allows him to play from the perimeter and take bigs off the dribble. As far as his recruitment goes, it’s still very early and he has no visits set up in the near future. Hoosierfanyuh 1 Quote
