[Class of '66 Old Fart 85,254]

Hoosiers win the opener 4 -1.  Game #2 scheduled to start at 4:30.  

Hoosiers scored a run in the 4th on a Baez single.  Scored 3 more in the 6th.  2 on a Lorsung double and a solo HR from Radcliffe.  On the day, the Hoosiers had 8 hits and committed no errors.  Goodin went the distance allowing 5 hits, struck out 8 and walked 2.

Hoosiers lose the second game 4-3.  They trailed 4-0 through 6 and managed to score 3 in the 7th but not quite enough.  For the game, Hoosiers had 7 hits, 1 error and left 7 on base.  Foor started and pitched 4 innings giving up 6 hits and 3 runs.  Linton came on in the 5th and gave up 2 hits and the 4th PUke run.  Weather permitting, they'll play again tomorrow morning at 10:00.

Saturday's game underway and after 2 innings Hoosiers lead 1-0 on a Lorsung rbi single in the 1st.

Hoosiers win 4-0.  Picked up 2 additional runs in the 6th on a Davis double and another run in the 7th courtesy of a PUke wild pitch that allowed Montgomery to score.  Hoosiers finished with 6 hits, no errors and 4 LOB.  Goodin went the distance allowing just 2 hits, struck out 5 and walked 3.  Final game of the weekend series set for 1:00 tomorrow.  Today's win insures that we'll get at least a half a point in the Governor's Cup competition.

Hoosiers took a 1-0 lead in the 2nd on an rbi triple by Lacefield.  Added a run in the 3rd on a Radcliffe double.  Goodin fell apart in the bottom of the 3rd and PUke scored 5 runs to lead 5-2 after 3 innings. 

Hoosiers bounced back scoring 2 in the 4th on an rbi triple by Benson and an rbi single by Lambert to make it a 5-4 PUke lead. 

We tied it up in our half of the 5th with a walk to Radcliffe; she stole 2nd; advanced to 3rd on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice fly by Lorsung.  Foor had relieved Goodin in the 3rd to get us out of the inning and then Linton took the mound in the 4th and has held PUke scoreless.

Score is tied at 5 after 5 complete innings.

We re-take the lead in the 6th on an rbi double from Gabbi Jenkins who then moved to 3rd on a passed ball and scored on a Radcliffe bunt.  Hoosiers lead 7-5 going into the bottom of the 6th.

Linton walks the leadoff batter and Goodin re-takes the mound and gets 2 infield ground outs and an infield pop-up.

Hoosiers lead 7-5 after 6 complete.

Hoosiers win the game 7-5 and take the series 3-1.  They also pick up a full point in the Governor's Cup Competition. 

In the bottom of the 7th, Goodin got the first 2 batters out before giving up a PUke double.  A ground out to short ended the game and preserved an IU victory.
