Class of '66 Old Fart Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 28' | UCLA gets on the board first. We've been limited to a single shot. UCLA has taken just 5 shots, but 4 have been on goal. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 1-0 UCLA leads at halftime. We've allowed 8 UCLA shots but 6 have been on goal so Gerstenberg is earning her scholarship tonight. On the flip side we have only 2 shots and no corners so UCLA's defense is really doing a number on us. Lauren Costello picked up a yellow card. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Final score 1-0 as our Hoosiers just could not muster any consistent offense getting only 5 total shots, 3 on goal and 3 corners. UCLA had 11 shots, 6 on goal and 8 corners. Lauren Costello and Camille Hamm both assessed yellow cards plus one assessed against our team. We start off 0-2 in B1G play and it likely won't be any easier on Sunday against USC (5-1-1). mamasa 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 No score at the half between IUWS and USC in what sounds like a pretty stodgy game as the teams have taken just 6 combined shots. USC with 4; IUWS with 2, each with 1 on goal. Each team with 2 corners. Gerstenberg did have to make 2 really good saves. It's been raining in Bloomington which probably accounts for the way the game has been played thus far. Quote

USC 9-4-3. Much like our men's team, we don't have any real scorers and really miss Paige Webber's offense. Next up is a west coast road trip to face Oregon on Thursday night and Washington on Sunday afternoon. Quote
