BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– It was an exciting Sunday for Indiana Field Hockey as the team climbed back from a 2-1 deficit in the third period to win the game, 3-2, on Sunday in their home opener.

Following the win, the Hoosiers' record now stands at 4-5 on the season.

KEY MOMENTS
• Graduate forward Sarah Charley found the back of the cage in the 11^th minute to put Indiana in front 1-0.
• James Madison scored two goals within two minutes at the 35^th and 36^th-minute marks in the third period to go up 2-1 after trailing nearly the entire game to that point.
• Junior midfielder Meredith Lee tied the game up at 2-2 with a goal shortly after the start of the fourth period in the 48^th minute. The penalty corner helped facilitate Lee's goal with assists being credited to Sarah Charley and Sydney Keld.
• Indiana drew a penalty corner with 50 seconds left in the game, the play panned out with senior Meghan Dillon tapping in the game-winning goal as Indiana gained a 3-2 lead in the final seconds. Sarah Charley and Sydney Keld also assisted on the play.

NOTABLES
• Charley's goal was her fourth of the year.
• Charley and Keld each notched two assists in the game.
• Indiana took 15 shots with 10 of them being on goal.
• The Hoosiers led James Madison in penalty corners with a 7-0 advantage.
• Lee's goal was the first of her career.
• Dillon's goal was her second of the season.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana Field Hockey fell in a tight battle on a late goal to No. 5 Louisville, 1-0, on Tuesday at Deborah Tobias Field.

After the loss, Indiana falls to 5-8 on the year.

KEY MOMENTS
• Indiana's defense played at a high-level all game, holding the game to 0-0 through the first three quarters.
• Louisville drew back-to-back penalty corners in the 40^th minute, Indiana junior goalkeeper Arabella Loveridge made saves on both plays to keep the game scoreless.
• Louisville's Julie Kouijzer scored the game's lone goal in the 54^th minute off a penalty corner.
• Indiana drew a penalty corner in the 56^th minute. Graduate student Sarah Charley got a good look and fired a shot on goal, but it was saved.

NOTABLES
• Loveridge made six saves in the game.
• Five different Hoosiers recorded a shot.
• Three of Indiana's five shots were on goal.

• IU will be back in action Friday, Oct. 13 when they take on No. 3 Iowa at Deborah Tobias Field.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– It's a quick turnaround of a weekend for Indiana Field Hockey, after just playing on Tuesday against No. 5 Louisville. On Friday, Oct. 13, Indiana will play No. 6 Iowa at Deborah Tobias Field. Then, on Oct. 15, Indiana will make the short trip to Muncie, Ind. to play at Ball State.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– Indiana Field Hockey's is set to stay in Bloomington for two more games at Deborah Tobias Field this week. The Hoosiers will start with a mid-week game against Miami (Ohio) on Wednesday, Sep. 11 and then will take on Ball State on Friday, Sep. 13.

WEEKEND REWIND:
-Indiana Field Hockey will look to gain momentum after a busy first week of the season.

-The Hoosiers started the season playing three games in four days. They opened with a win at Kent State but fell short in close games against No. 11 Liberty and Maine.

-Indiana beat Kent State, 3-1, to start the season off strong. Everyone got involved as ten different Hoosiers recorded a shot in the game.

-The Hoosiers had a strong game against Kent State where they had the largest margin of victory against the Golden Eagles since 2012 (5-3).

- All three goals were scored by different Hoosiers, including the first goal of Mijntje Hagen's collegiate career.

-In a defensive battle, Indiana lost to No. 11 Liberty. 2-1, in double overtime. IU was able to hold Liberty scoreless and to five shots through the first three quarters.

-Both teams scored their first goal in the fourth quarter, with Indiana scoring in the final seconds of regulation on a penalty corner with Hagen finding the back of the cage.

-The Hoosiers fell 4-2 in the home opener after two late goals by Maine.

NEW AND RETURNING PRODUCTION:
-Indiana has had strong early showings from their returning talent and newcomers.

-Sophomore Inés Garcia Prado and freshman Mijntje Hagen currently lead the Hoosiers in scoring with two goals apiece.

-Senior Sofia Arrebola Garcia leads the team in assists with two.

-Both of Hagen's goals have come from her only two shots she has taken on the season.

-Senior Arabella Loveridge has continued to be a defensive anchor in the cage for the Hoosiers. She has recorded 12 saves thus far with a season high of seven against Liberty.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– After finishing the regular season, Indiana Field Hockey heads to College Park, Md. to play in the Big Ten Tournament. The Hoosiers will play No. 3 seed Michigan on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. in the first round of the tournament. The semifinal and final will be played on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

WEEKEND REWIND:
-Indiana was able to win their last home game of the year to finish the regular season at 9-8. The Hoosiers took down Michigan State to finish over .500 for the first time since 2014. They also secured their fourth Big Ten win of the season for the first time under Coach Bashore.

-Against Michigan State, the defense for both teams battled in the first half. The Hoosiers recorded four shots while the Spartans only took two shots.

-The offense ignited in the third quarter as Indiana forced nine of their 13 penalty corners then. They also took eight shot attempts in the quarter.

-Yip van Wonderen scored the game's lone goal from an assist by Mijntje Hagen early in the fourth quarter.

BACK IN THE B1G TOURNAMENT:
-On Sunday, Indiana earned their spot in the Big Ten Tournament with a win over Michigan State. This will be the Hoosiers 20th time playing in the conference's postseason and the first since the 2021 season.

-The Hoosiers have made it past the first round three times (2005, 2009, 2012) while reaching the final game in the 2005 and 2009 seasons.

-Indiana will look to earn their first Big Ten tournament win since 2012 where they beat Northwestern 4-0 in the first round.

-This will be the third Big Ten Tournament appearance for Kayla Bayshore as the head coach.

LATE SEASON SUCCESS:
-Indiana has shown major growth from the beginning of the season, winning six of their last eight games, including a four-game winning streak in the middle of that run.

-Since the calendar turned to October, Indiana has earned three ranked wins, defeating No. 12 Iowa, No. 18 Cal, and No. 7 Michigan. The wins against Iowa and Michigan were on the road.

-This late season success has earned the Hoosiers a spot in the Big Ten Tournament for the first time since the 2021 season where they fell to Rutgers in the first round.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana Field Hockey is set for a two-game weekend with one matchup at home and one on the road. The Hoosiers will host No. 14 Rutgers on Friday, Oct. 10 at noon at Deborah Tobias Field and then they'll face Miami (Ohio) on Monday, Oct. 13 at noon in Oxford.  

WEEKEND REWIND  

• Indiana Field Hockey returned to the win column by defeating UC Davis 5-0 last Friday afternoon at Deborah Tobias Field.  

• Freshman Kai Killian secured her first shutout victory of her career over UC Davis.  

• Molly Stutte and Charlotte Glasper added to their career totals. Stutte notched her fourth goal of her career while Glasper's goal brings her total to five.  

• The Hoosiers outshot the Aggies 15-4.  

BACK TO B1G PLAY 

• The matchup on Friday afternoon will be IU's third Big Ten Conference game of the season and third ranked Big Ten opponent and fourth overall (No. 8 Boston, No. 11 Iowa and No. 1 Northwestern).  

• Sophomore Mijntje Hagen found the back of the cage three times on Friday. This trio of goals brings her career total to 10. Hagen's three goals tie the program record for most goals in a game.  

• Friday's performance earned Hagen B1G Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors.  

• Celia Arroyo Cabezudo is ninth in the Big Ten in scoring with six goals.  

• Hagen is fifth in the conference in points with 18. Charlotte follows in sixth (17 points) and Inés Garcia Prado slots in tied at ninth (15 points).  

• Garcia Prado has notched three defensive saves, placing her second in the Big Ten.  

• Hagen has recorded eight assists in 2025, putting her at fourth in the conference and Garcia Prado has notched seven assists to place her at fifth.
