Illinois is still searching for its first Big Ten win coming in to Thursday's game after a 73-54 loss to Purdue at home on Sunday. They are led by junior forward Alex Wittinger who averages 14.0 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Brandi Beasley adds 11.5 points per game and 3.6 assists per game. As a team, Illinois is averaging 61.4 points per game and shooting 37.9 percent from the floor.

The Hoosiers are on their longest win streak of the season after beating Northwestern, 78-73, in overtime. The streak started with a 69-65 win at Michigan State on Jan. 20 and has spanned three of its four-game homestand that wraps up Thursday night.

Lady Hoosiers stretch the lead to 35-23 at the half.  Cahill 12 pts., Buss 8, Yeaney 7, Penn 6.  Penn & Cahill each with 4 reb., Buss with 3.  62% field goal shooting and 4-8 on 3's.  Also winning the battle on the boards 14-9.

End of 3 and Illinois still hanging around only down 49-39.  

Cahill 17 pts., Royster 11; Buss 8, Yeaney 7, Penn 6.  Penn & Cahill each with 5 reb.  FG% down to 47% and 5-14 on 3's.  Yeaney with 3 fouls is the only one in foul trouble.

Kym Royster has really come alive in the second half. She has 15 of her 17 points in this half.

Finally broke the game open in the 4th Q and the Lady Hoosiers won it going away  70-54

Scoring:  Cahill 20, Royster 19, Buss 16, Yeaney 9.

Rebounds:  Buss, Cahill, Royster & Penn each with 6 as we won the battle on the boards 34-25.

50% from the floor; 35% on 3's.  Game really won at the charity stripe as we were 19-28 and Illinois only had 7 attempts making all 7.

Buss with a pretty miserable shooting night despite scoring 16.  She was 4-11 from the field; 2-7 on her 3's and only 6-14 from the foul line.  But she made up for her shooting woes with 6 reb, 6 assists and 2 steals.

Next game is the 12th at West Laughayet.

Really wish I could have watched the game- UI shot 39% FG- would have like to have watched our defense to see if we were playing tough, or if UI was just shooting cold
