Dimitric Camiel's time in Houston was short-lived.

The former Hoosier offensive lineman was waived by the Houston Texans on Tuesday. He originally agreed to an undrafted free agent deal at the end of last month.

Camiel, who measures in at 6-foot-6 and 309 pounds, played in just two games in 2016 before suffering a back injury that shut him down for the rest of the season. Before the injury he appeared in 39 straight games, starting all 13 times in 2015 at right tackle.

At IU's Pro Day, Camiel unofficially ran a 5.65-second 40-yard dash, benched 23 repetitions and posted a 30.5-inch vertical leap.

The San Antonio, Texas, native returns to the free agent pool where other NFL teams will be allowed to pursue him. Camiel is the second Hoosier to get picked up by a team only to be waived a short while later, joining one-time Philadelphia Eagle linebacker Marcus Oliver.
