  1. The bowl records would agree with you: Final records in ‘25-26 bowls/CFP games* B1G: 10-4 ACC: 9-5 CUSA: 4-3 American: 5-4 Big 12: 4-4 MAC: 2-3 Sun Belt: 3-5 MWC: 2-5 SEC: 2-8 *Not including intraconference games
  2. Two things: 1) Per Osterman the parade is in the works, he hinted the date might be this weekend. 2) If you wanna see our National Championship trophy.
  3. Nah. Most of our team did postgame. Nothing wrong with letting it all out.
  4. Some follow-up on the Fletcher incident with Tyrique per Niz: Indiana football defensive tackle Tyrique Tucker tried to congratulate Miami's running back Mark Fletcher Jr. with a hand shake after a 27-21 win in the CFP title game on Monday night at Hard Rock Stadium. Fletcher stunned Tucker with a sucker punch. "I was just trying to congratulate him on the game," Tucker told The Herald-Times. "He tried to sneak me, everybody kind of held me back. That was a cheap punch. Luckily, we got the win, I'm not really too worried about it. He's salty, he going home with the L." lol. You're damn right Tyrique.
  5. One more unique thing that happens when you win it all.
  6. He was on $425K in season one (19th nationally), then he got a raise in December '24 to $635K and another raise in May '25 (when USC came calling) that got him to $925K (3rd nationally) plus performance incentives. It's not like we weren't competitive on comp. UT just made him the highest paid S&C coach. I bet he would have got another raise here, but at some point you've got to want to be at IU...
  7. Sounds like it may be Georgia Tech. I don’t blame him. Backup or play at GT? Easy call. And he can come back like you said.
  8. Credit where credit is due. And a lot of credit is due here. I think we've got to congratulate Scott Dolson, the AD who played a huge role in this College Football National Championship. - He raised $15M to move on from Tom (yea he did give him an extension in 2021, but who wouldn't?) - He identified Cig - He convinced Cig to come here - He led an unprecedented and enormous increase in football resources - He kept Cig at Indiana despite several traditional powerhouses wanting him badly. In fact, of all the coaches in the coaching carousel this season, Cig took his name off the market the fastest (~48 hours) - IU is the National Champion in the biggest college sport and this is the greatest turnaround in college sports history Great job Scott!
  9. Haha. And we got a natty before ND, who has been so desperate to break their 37 year drought. Hahahahahahahaha.
  10. This has to be one of the greatest destroy your haters seasons ever. Going into this year, we had to deal with the nonsense of being targeted by a lot of the media as a team that benefitted from a soft schedule and had no top-25 wins. It was such a lazy narrative. We ended up with five top-10 wins (Oregon 2x, Bama, Miami, OSU). We played basically all the best teams in CFB this year. When the final poll comes out, we'll have two more top-25 wins (Iowa and Illinois), for a total of seven top-25 wins. Our total margin of victory over 16 games was +479. It's so satisfying.
  11. I get it. He wants to play. Best of luck to him, I hope he is very successful wherever he goes. He’s been great for us by helping bring in Fernando and being an excellent backup this year.
  12. Man, that’s surprising. Ooof. After keeping him from USC, I thought he was gonna be here awhile. Will be interesting to hear what drove the decision. Obviously we’ll survive, but this it’s gonna take some work to replace him. The National Champions should be an appealing destination for S&C guys though. Edit: Sounds like TN is paying him a fortune.
  13. Game presser for the National Champions.
  14. We definitely like doubled our trophy cabinet in one year lol.
  15. I got a feeling Miami can dish it out, but they can’t take it.
  16. Rough day for PU and ND fans. Really rough. :-)
  17. I don’t think we disagree much. When I say I don't see "too much advantage" I mean something like 0.5 points.
  18. People will all make their lists to drive discussion and engagement, which is fine, it’s fun. But the most unbiased view is the betting odds. Someone posted these in another thread, but this is what’s out there now.
  19. Yea. Maybe there is some advantage to being familiar with playing there — sight lines, etc. But, at the end of the day it’s an NFL stadium. A field with stands around it. So, with a neutral crowd in the stands I don’t see too much advantage to our opponent.
  20. Yea. Something like that. I know we want more RB depth, but we can’t sell many touches right now, so I get why it’s been a bit tricky to get one more RB. Definitely not too big of a deal imo.
  21. It’s a great day for a National Championship game. Go IU!!!
  22. Yea. CDD is not getting fired after one year. Kind of pointless to have a thread with a bunch of fights over a hypothetical with zero chance of happening. Woof. Once we see how year two goes this topic could become worth debating. Hopefully not, but things will need to improve quite a bit here. I am in favor of firing sooner rather than later every time. But after one year? No way. And it also makes no financial sense/is not financially possible anyways.
  23. On that note, I’m not too high on Drew Adams for a lot of reasons, his role with Reed being one. I wouldn’t mind seeing him swapped out for someone else after this year, but I don’t know if that’s in the cards. KJ is a little iffy too in my view.
