I never attacked you. My point stands: you want to equate Woodsons crap-fest with Danny Hurley's first 4 years. I am simply saying there's no comparison. Danny Hurley was a rising start... Mike Woodson was a mediocre NBA coach with no clue what he was doing (still not sure he understands what it takes to be successful as a college basketball coach).

So, he improved his overall record and conference record each year, and was under 50 years old at the time? Oh yeah, very comparable to Mike Woodson.
Mike Woodson is not the long-term answer for IU. He’s 66 years old. He won’t be around 10 years from now. He probably won’t even be around 5 years from now. There’s zero point in waiting around for a senior citizen coach to “figure it out” when he’ll be retirement age by the time he does. 

I'm not just looking at his IU results. He was sub .500 as an NBA coach and his Knicks teams had the same problems we're seeing. His head coaching career was over until IU called.
College is a completely different beast, coaches like Pitino and Calipari that stunk in the NBA and went back to college were already college coaches with varying degrees of success.
This team will under achieve and won't be better than the sum of it's parts. It might make the tournament, but with IU that's good enough. They replaced standards and expectations with excuses; making excuses is one if the few things IU has been consistently good at over the last 25 years.

Did Bob Knight regularly take shots at the fan base? 
And Mike Woodson has Bob Knight-level arrogance while delivering Tom Allen results. 

Would be the dumbest decision ever.  Ballo only got 1.2 million and he is way better.
 
 

Don’t know if the price tag is true….if so, he is nowhere near being worth that.

I mean, if you look at the metrics from last year then Trey is better than Carlyle by a lot. So we’re hoping on potential here more than Carlyle objectively being better than Trey at this point in his career.
I still think our best lineup will be Rice, Carlyle, Gallo, Mgbako, Ballo. Best combination of offense and defense we can put on the court at once with skill sets that compliment each other.

I will say this.  We have the largest budget and sounds like we have used a crap ton of it if the numbers are true.  We should have the most talent of any Big Ten team also.  Composite 247 and 247 rankings

You’re worried about sliding a guy to the 4 who was 6’8” 217lbs as a Freshman? He shouldn’t be “sliding” there, he should be playing there by default.
Everyone but our coach seems to know he’s a PF.

In reality that should be a 16-4 or 15-5 type big ten team.on paper.

He needs to win the Big and make a deep tourney run.  If he doesn’t he will never do much.  He is spending the most money and has the most talent stats wise.  Crean never had this level of talent and won it.  Also Creans Big Ten was way more difficult.  

Hey I am in the same boat.  Watching Purdue win with the way that Knight did should be infuriating IU fans. I want Purdue to win to show IU admins and donors how far we have fallen.  

Last year’s offense was ranked 105th in the country. We will need A LOT to go really right to be a top-15 offense. CMWs highest ranked offense so far was 28th and that was with JHS and TJD.

We shall see what Rice can provide in a better conference and a completely odd style of play. I’m impressed a guard chose Indiana considering the circumstances! Congrats to the staff. 

Honestly, they are reading this.  I think it is someone that has some connection to the staff and as much as he wants to spike the ball, I want to rub it back in.  These dudes are not only assholes, they are dumb @$$ assholes.  Leal doubling down on that same tone tells you where this is coming from.
I want Indiana to win so if they pull a rabbit out of a hat, great.  Only took these dumbasses 3 years to figure out what people were saying in year one on message boards.  "You don't just need shooting...."  No **** dumb ****s.  "Woodson can change, you'll see..."  And he is supposedly going to change by getting dynamic guards (the aforementioned shooters, people weren't expecting a team of Roths) and everyone is just supposed to believe how brilliant they are?
