IUBB @ Oregon - Tuesday, 03.04.25 @ 9:00 ET on FS1

I'm thinking we win a close one. The team has been playing much better since we changed to playing our older players more minutes. -
If that happens it would just add to the evidence that for Mike Woodson, this was never about bringing IU Basketball back as a top program or bridging the divide between older and younger IU fans. It will just show this has always been about Mike Woodson wanting the status of being the IU coach and that to Woodson, his ego is more important than the program.

I hope not. We have a top 2 roster in the Big Ten. Rallying the last month to finish in the middle of the pack in the Big Ten and squeaking into the Tournament just solidifies his moniker Mediocre Mike.
-
It appears that over the last few weeks, playing time is being distributed on how you play and not how much you are making or how much playing time you were promised. Playing more minutes with one big man on the floor and giving a role player in Leal more minutes has definitely helped on floor chemistry.

I think I've seen this same formula against IU. Just change Loyer to Mgbako.

Chris enjoying Friday night with a beverage and some edibles could possibly send most of this board into a panic! :)

The funny thing about Hoosiers was that during filming Hackman thought the movie was going to be terrible. He was combative with David Anspaugh, the director, and used to joke with Dennis Hopper that Hoosiers was going to be the end of their careers. After the final cut came out, Hackman was surprised how good it was and apologized to Anspaugh. Norman Dale became one of Hackman's many iconic roles.

In a Pinto, a sunroof = an escape hatch.

I think the IU opening is going to get several coaches extensions. Dusty just received his. Could be the agents for Otzelberger, Cronin, Drew, McDermott, Lloyd, Brownell, etc... are all floating these coaches to get extensions. Still hoping for Stevens. If not Stevens, I think Bennett, Otzelberger, or Collins would be good fits at IU.

This board never ceases to amaze me with its creativity and humor!
-
Collins is another guy where I wonder what he could do with our resources.
-
I like the thought of McCollum. He's been a winner and has a system. If I was to go with a coach where we are projecting what he could do with our resources, I like McCasland a little better.

Every time I turn on a UCLA game there are a lot of empty lower-level seats. It's rather sad for a team with such a tradition in basketball. I'm not sure if that's a California thing or an LA thing.

I wonder if Woodson does post game with Don today? -

Glad to see we are playing with some pride to start the second half. -

Why don't we have whoever Smith is guarding post up? Leal has already scored a couple of baskets that way. -

Rice taking contested twos is not the offense I'm looking for. -
Our roster could kill it if our coach wasn't a mediocre NBA coach that is still learning the college game.
-
From the recent survey. Many would accept him (42%), but I wouldn't say Cronin has strong support on this board. 5. Would you approve of the hiring of Mick Cronin (UCLA)? Yes 13 No 96 Neutral 56

Stevens and Dolson are both fans of Breaking Bad. Of course, they are using subterfuge to keep the hiring quiet until the proper time. Brad and Scott, both know it would be in poor taste to announce the hiring while Woodson is still coaching so we need to keep it under wraps for now. I'm sure they will thank you in due time for contributing to their misdirection ploy.

Both coaches are very similar. They both make defense their trademark and recruit athletes that can play defense. Their offenses seem to fluctuate from year to year depending on personnel.
