Unfortunately, for Devries, he is not just being compared to our two previous coaches. Devries is also being compared to Dusty, who many of us wanted after 3 years of Woodson. I Ilke Devries and I think he will be solid, but it will be frustrating if Michigan has a better program over the next 8 years.

We wore the black last year, so this isn't a DeVries thing. If I remember correctly, the players liked the black uniforms last year. I do prefer the red road and home white uniforms. However, throw out tradition and give me names on back of the jersey if 50% + of the roster is going to change each year.

It's obvious that Michigan is hacking other teams' computer system and stealing game plans. :)

Not sure what is going on with Maryland athletics. Football stadium was half empty for the few games that I saw and same with their basketball arena. Kevin Willard seemed desperate to get out of there.

I think gritty is the key. There are going to be guards that out athlete him, but the effort from Enright is always going to be there. That type of effort can be contagious and is important to have from a senior leader.

I'm so glad that we didn't pursue or get Cronin as our coach. He has a good career record, but every interview/quote that I see from him is negative. Too many Archie vibes. Coaches need to be critical of their team's play, but presentation in public is important. Save the vitriol for practice.

Kaufman-Renn, Cluff, and Jacobsen are going to be a tough trio for us to match up against. Too bad that we don't get a favorable whistle in Assembly Hall anymore. We could use a few cheapies called on their big men early in the game.

Good win. This is how we should play against bad teams.

Another game and another point guard that we can't stop. This is a terrible trend.

This isn't the NBA. Tanking doesn't get you a better draft pick. This team needs to keep improving. This was always going to be a loss. The season isn't over and the result of this game doesn't mean we still can't finish middle of the pack Big Ten. Sure, we have a talent gap with the top teams in the Big Ten, but our current roster can play much better than we are playing. I'm optimistic that we still have time to salvage the season.

How does Don Fischer not have his own personal plane?

I don't think we'll beat Michigan Tuesday, but I'm hoping to see improvement in a few areas. First and foremost, I want to see improvement in our defense. We've been shredded by point guards in our last two games and we gave up 53 in the second half of the Nebraska game. The defense must improve. Secondly, I want to avoid the 2nd half collapse. We need to have consistency in effort and execution in the second half. Players need to learn to play through fatigue and the coach needs to use his scholarship depth to get players the rest they need. Finally, I'll be watching our offensive movement and shot selection. No more 30-foot shots 10 seconds into the shot clock. I'm hoping for better screening and open looks. I'm still holding out hope that this team can turn it around.

Second time that I've watched Maryland and, in both games, there is no one at the game. Looks like apathy has hit their program. I'm afraid we are headed down that path.

LOL, I understand the frustration but too soon for this imo.

Coach DeVries is too laid back in my opinion. It doesn't appear that he hates losing enough. You don't have to be Danny Hurley on the sideline but show some passion.
