  1. I really like Pam Whitten. Great for IU!
  2. I know we were frustrated with our season. However, if Devries thinks he can develop some of our current players, I'm all for keeping them. If they stay, I hope it is to represent IU and play for Devries and not because we offered the most cash.
  3. Welcome Coach Devries! Build a winning a culture and bring our program back to competing for Big Ten Titles and consistently in the top 15.
  4. Any coach we hire will be an improvement over Woodson. The question is will the coach be better than Dusty who we should have hired last offseason? Holding onto Woodson and then failure to land a big name coach better than Dusty will be a black mark on the IU program. Maybe Dusty doesn't become a great coach. I would hate to have to think that we missed our window because we had to stroke Mike Woodson's ego.
  5. I fall for it every time because I want to believe!
  6. Because we are all pessimists after the last 20 years.
  7. Yes, McCollum is a risk. Brownell= mediocre and adequate. We know his ceiling. McCollum= possible boom or bust. He ceiling is unknown, but many speculate it could be very high.
  8. Well, let's not get carried away. :)
  9. My God I hope this is true! Please let all the Brownell smoke be from his agent getting Brad B a raise!
  10. I would take Dusty over these three. It better not be Brownell!
  11. Don't rule out Mike Brey as a surprise candidate. At this point, I have no confidence in who it may be.
  12. Please no Brownell or a surprise candidate like Lawrence Frank.
  13. Based on the excitement on the board, would Scott Drew be a homerun or a let down?
  14. Yep, I'm definitely like Charlie Brown. I fall for it every time because I want to believe.
  15. I wonder if Minnesota or Iowa will reach out to hire Woodson?
  16. Did we ever decipher the Kenya Hunter tweet from last night?
  17. Other schools seem to be moving quickly on identifying their top candidates. I can't believe that Dolson wasted several weeks with paralysis by analysis. Instead, I think Dolson came to an agreement weeks ago with Stevens or Bennett and we are simply having to wait for the season to end to make an announcement.
  18. Yes. I missed too many pages. Now, I'm just skipping to the last 10 pages and that will take a while to catch up.
  19. I don't understand this. No coach currently playing would be announced until their season is over.
  20. When you factor in the talent level, I would agree.
  21. I'm still holding out for Stevens. Maybe I'm a fool, but I want to believe. I'm so tired of Woodson and company just about anyone would make me happy. Bennett, McDermott, McCasland, Collins, and McCollum would all be guys that have solid systems that could win at IU with our resources. If Stevens says no, I would be happy with any of these coaches. I would root for IU if Beard or Wade was hired, but I just don't see either happening. Please Brad, don't leave us waiting at the altar. The nation is watching, we can't be a jilted bride again.
  22. Why would you assume this? No coach is going to be announced until after IU is done playing. Stevens may very well be a done deal and there is no value to Brad Stevens to have it announced early. Being mad at Stevens because the announcement doesn't meet your timeline is a little silly.
  23. Then Goodman can tweet that Iowa stole our #1 choice. :)
  24. I liked Archie and wanted him to succeed. The IU job was never a good fit based on his personality. Archie won at Dayton and was able to recruit fairly well at a mid-major level. Dakich once referred to one of Archie's assistants as his "bag man". Whether that was Dakich being Dakich or if had actually heard that rumor, I don't know. Could be Archie won at Dayton because he cut corners recruiting. No proof, just wondering based on Dakich's statement and Archies results at IU and Rhode Island.
