I don't know if he's on the hot seat, but I think Cronin may be looking for a different job this off-season.

Two games in a row that we've been torched by the opposing point guard. Not good. -

This game is going to test our toughness. I'm interested to see if we step up or wilt. -
I'm confident that next year we'll have the low post presence that we desire. DeVries coached under both Altman and McDermott, both of whom always seem to have decent Bigs. I assume we swung and missed on some portal Bigs and then decided to go with what we have now. I believe that DeVries will make sure that issue is addressed early in the portal this offseason. I'm hoping this current team maximizes their strengths and finishes the season strong.

Winning at Michigan State was always going to be hard, but collapsing after being tied at 53 was frustrating and disheartening. This team was talented enough to hang with Michigan State on the road for 3/4ths of the game. The lack of on court leadership and determination was evident during the collapse. A senior laden team shouldn't have these issues. The good news is that these issues that can still be corrected.

IUBB vs Washington - Sunday, 01.04.26 @ 8:00 on BTN

The attendance disappoints me. I guess the students being off campus and 25 years of program mismanagement will lead to a decline in attendance. Back in the day, IU basketball was an event that you did not want to miss. Hopefully, it will be full and rocking when Nebraska comes to town. -

Happy that we won the rebounding battle. Everyone seemed to be hitting the boards which is what we need. -

So far, Bailey has been disappointing against top competition. -

I think you're right about the reality of the roster. This will most likely be a disappointing season because we didn't construct this roster properly. I think we may struggle to be .500 in the Big Ten this year. Hopefully, we can hold serve at home, but I have my doubts. -

It doesn't. But having our starters outplayed by Siena in the second half is not good. -

I like your optimism, but right now, we are losing the second half. That is not a good sign. -

I think some of this can be contributed to the lack of an on-floor leader on this team. -
I'm happy with Coach Devries and our team, but should I be concerned about a lack of enthusiasm from other IU fans for this coach and team? I say this because there did not seem to be anyone there compared to the Bahamas trip a few years ago. I've never been to either location, so maybe the Bahamas is less expensive or possibly the university did not put any packages together for alumni to go to these games. We always had the reputation of "traveling well". Should I be worried about the sparse crowds?

I'm becoming more excited about watching this team play this season. Sure, the roster isn't perfect, but I'm hoping we have a group of players that are more concerned about winning than showcasing their game for the NBA. This squad seems to be deep with shooters which should cover up some of our deficiencies. I want to see a culture and style of play established in year one. Without seeing the team, it is hard to set a win/loss expectation. I'm looking forward to the new roster, but I'm definitely going to miss Reneau and it will be difficult to watch him play elsewhere this year.

Transfer Portal Scrapes w/IU Interest

In my opinion we need to sign a minority player soon. Just putting myself in a minority players shoes, I would be more comfortable knowing there are other minorities on the roster. That first player is going to have to take a leap of faith.
